| Turner is definetely not a halfback and I doubt he could even cover there, he is a very athletic player who has decent hands but not a playmaker, if Long is missing it should be Turner/Washy at 6, with Horne playing at halfback.

Already have. Read the comment again! Don't move Tansey if Long is out, just bring in Washy.
That said if both Long and Horne are out then Tansey has to be moved and Washy brought it, as imo Turner is not a halfback.

You said Long was out for 4-6 weeks, Agar has said he is touch and go for Sunday.

He made it clear early season he wanted a shot at the h/back, but accepted he would probably be utilised as a centre, how do you know he did not do h/backs at amateur level ?Tansey was not considered a f/back more a utility player but he appears not to be doing a bad job of it.
I reckon he could develop into a good h/back.

Developing into a good half back won't help us on Sunday though will it. Why did he not get a go there for Salford then?
He could play 13 but 6/7 is a bit much right now. If we go to Wales with the attitude of 'we can afford to rest players or play them out of position' then imo we will get beat.

I am not disputing your point about we can afford to rest players, as you say we cannot, I believe Crusaders will not be the push-overs people think.
Before the season Turner said he would like an opportunity of the 6 shirt but would possibly be utilised in the centres until an opportunity arouse etc...Now that indicates to me he has experience or believe that he could fulfil the role, so IF Horne is unfit give Turner the chance to back his claim up.
Salford possible had the best h/back combination in the competition last year tbf.

Can you show me where I said 4-6 weeks? What I can tell you is he will definitely miss the next two and probably 3 games unless he has some miraculous recovery. The scan only gives a "picture" of the injury, but certain individuals heal faster than others obviously.

Seems to me that this is not a new interview with Agar - these are exactly the words he used in his after match interview. I never saw the incident with Horne but Long was knocked in a tackle - hopefully a minor dead leg that will be better after the long lay-off.

It looks like you have edited your original post? Anyway you have just said again 2-3 games yet Agar is saying that both he and Horne are 50/50 for Sunday. Time will tell I guess.

I think you'll find I haven't touched my original post and you have obviously got me mixed up with someone who stated hamstring injuries can be 4-6 weeks. Look, I was told first hand by a very reliable source (couldn't get much more reliable in fact) that he will be out for the next three games. I'm only passing on the information, as the old saying goes "don't shoot the messenger". As my previous posts testify, I don't come on here and make up lies.

I must be mistaken. Not saying you are trolling or making things up, like I said only time will tell. I don't expect him to play this weekend but after that who knows.

| Well if both Long and Horne are out, we might need to make major changes to the backs line to cover. With Tansey being the replacement 7 and Washbrook coming in at 6, we'd then have to move Whiting to 1 as our cover FB, leaving the centre spot open. We could either put Turner there, move Hall there and Calderwood on the wing, or drop Hall altogether and bring both in (which would be a bit harsh IMO).
I'd go for:
1. Whiting
2. Calderwood
3. Hall
4. Yeaman
5. Briscoe
6. Washbrook
7. Tansey

I would personally bring Washy & Turner straight in to the H/Bask roles and leave Tansey where he is. I do not see the point of so much movement when players are developing and gelling in their roles

I understand what you've done there but that's 5 changes to cover 2 positions. Now to me that's a lot of disruption to a back division which may ultimatelly cause more problems than it solves.
