The £17 a head banquet meal at Raj is good value.
We had that on Saturday night. Me and my mate both took a doggy bag of what was left home. Made a good breakfast for me and the wife !

The secret is the base sauce you need for all indian curries. Its basically an onion, ginger and garlic pulp with turmaric.
Get "The Curry Secret" by Kris Dillon. Follow his methods to the letter and you cannot go wrong.  |

Time consuming and smelly,but well worth it. Make a big batch and freeze it. I got it for xmas and i've done 3 curries out of there with stunning results,and the pilau rice was the top notch. It's amazing how few ingredients you need really.

I have to disagree with that, I thought it was great, cracking value and great selection. Only problem with Curry is that they could to do raise the temperatures on the bain maries though.

As Besty says, the results are amazing. Just make sure you follow it to the letter. Allow yourself the previous night to do the base sauce and make a shed load of it for the freezer. The Rogan Josh is fab.

And when trying to sound like a prat, it's best to get a lot of practice. Oh I see you have. Do you know your subject ? There are types of hot food display units where the food containers are sitting in a bath of water, hence the use of the phrase of bain marie. So do you actual know how the food is served there ? I doubt that one.
