This has to be the most ironic post of the year and quite clearly sums up the obsession with the top RL team in Hull and lazy attempts to cling on to glories of yesteryear

I can see their loyal supporters making a 8000 average gate deserting them next year when their bubble bursts and they realise they really arent that good. |

'84-'85 league title was the last 'major' trophy. We've only won three championships in the last 50 years, and spent a long time becalmed in the lower divisons so for a little club like HKR this is, if not yet a golden era, at least a silver age.
Of course, in the quarter century since we were last champions, the Big 5 have dominated. Wigan have won 10 Challenge Cups and 9 championships, Saints have won 7 and 5, while the Yorkshire trio of Hull FC, Leeds and Bradford have won a dozen major trophies between them. We are really just grateful to be competing with these clubs again. So please do not pity or despise poor, humble little Hull KR. We didn't mean to beat you - it was an accident.
