Quote: Hull Kingston Convicts "Then the system is floored'"

It'd be pointless otherwise. Without a floor, as you put it, it wouldn't allow clubs to attempt to develop long-term, risk free, instead of going for a quick fix to remain just above the gaping chasm. That floor allows clubs, particularly those new to the league, to gain a firm footing, hopefully giving them a platform to jump off to reach much higher.

Just completed it. Its a step in the right direction for me. It will be flawed I am sure by fans from other teams getting in on the act, but hopefully the club and the company they are working with sorting through that.

As an aside, and this is mainly directed at the doom and gloom merchants. Could anyone tell me which other SL clubs have the following....

A group like FC Voices who the fans can turn to and who try and represent the majority of fans.

Fans forums.

Independant supporters groups.

I only ask as looking through the forum sites it is only Hull's actvities like this that seem to get a mention. And then its only to slagg them off.

I am not trying to create arguements but I am just curious to know just how far behind the rest of SL we are in terms of these things. I am also not asking for your opinions of these activities as I have my own. I am just interested to know how much better these things are on the other side.

Quote: Staffs FC "To summarise a response to your answer I agree in particular our home form must improve in order to maintain the massive crowd and merchandise gains we have enjoyed even during a serious economic downturn (albeit your claim that we will get < 10K crowds any time soon is pure speculation and nothing else). The way the club will do that is to improve its recruitment and retention decision making from that it has delivered in the previous few years. That is the single most important on field strategy we need to get right in the next two years. We are not badly placed in terms of non quota players - far better than some - but we need top quality in key areas to augment this.

That being said your claim that we are "shiite" is not backed by fact - we've won more than we have lost this season and are better than we were last year despite another particularly severe ongoing injury list handicap and outside isa influences. We are not playing particularly well but the league is close and facts are facts - we were 4 points from the top of the league going into this weekend.

So you make some reasonable points but a look at the table suggests that you are overstating our demise when infact we have improved over the previous season's efforts as our position in the table shows. That is fact whereas you simply claim the opposite of fact.

Your answer to my question contained some entirely fair points. Alas your quote above shows once again you lack consistency in terms of offering sensible debate, instead resorting to more petty garbage similar in standard to some of your previous efforts such as:

"you are a copper"
"go to bed"
"blinkered"
"idiot"
"fool" etc. etc.

At least you're consistent in spouting garbage

We can only drop one grade per review, and we have to drop to a C grade before we can have our licence revoked. That gives us a minimum of 9 years (three reviews) in SL.

Technically, we could be out at the next review or any subsequent ones if there are enough teams who score the same as us or better. Unlikely I know

Done mine....got the frustrations off my chest for the weekend (unless we lose tonight of course!! icon_rolleyes.gif )

A good idea to have a fans survey...but like most surveys they are limited in what we have to say. Still let's hope the club listens and take some of the issues on board.

I did feel good being allowed to say something directly. I also think it would have been nice if it wasn't anonymous.

Just completed the survey. A positive step in the right direction by the club in my opinion.
Lets just hope they use the information to make the correct decisions and take us forward.
Asking us the fans (customers) for constructive feedback is the most productive way for the club to gain an understanding of our hopes, needs, fears and aspirations.

I vote for Sunday.

This is the survey about when we want FC games to be, isn't it?
