However hopefully he will get a bit of luck injury wise and this will give him the freedom to coach that he needs.'"
and we should judge him on games when he is in charge, there was a definite improvement yesterday.

| Quote: Matty_HullFC "What exactly did he do wrong? Took us to a GF, Took us to 4th after losing our playmaker then 2nd to bottom after not having a near fit squad all season?
This has England written all over it for me, and we all know things got a whole lot worse for England. Anyway, he has the chance to prove me wrong.'"
He took us backwards in a big way, we haven;t played any expansive rugby since he has been in charge, his only saving grace is with the injuries we had hiding the fact he will only ever be an assistant.
As for losing our playmaker any half decent coach would have a decent enough backup playmaker, a thing he still didn;t manage to do this season after we got dykes in. He could maybe use the excuse he thought Horne would cover the position well enough if needed, but we found that not to be the case.
This year we lack ideas in the redzone as was highlighted on Sunday when we actually had a lot of possesion in the redzone and still failed to capitalise because of the lack of a playmaker. We cannot rely on Dykes playing every game and if they looked into his previous injuries they would have realised this and signed a reasonable backup player. To me that is a coaches job, wether he signs the players or not he needs to be able to say we need a winger a centre 2 playmakers etc to the board. Hopefully Agar can see where we are losing games and put it right.

| Quote: Standee "Sounds like we have taken the cheap option yet again, Agar has been involved with Sharp so he shoulders some respobsibility, can't imagine why we haven't given him the rest of this season to prove himself and then looked at a new contract, or was he always going to replace Sharp when the end of the season came?
Seems the trip to Aus was really just a jolly.'"
Exactly, if he had some good ideas they would have been used.

But then again I suppose you could look at Brian Kidd and Steve McClaren and say they were both at Man Utd under Ferguson during the success they have had over the last 10-15 years and neither of them ahve really gone on to be successful on their own.
If your going to be a success you have to have the skills and ability needed to start with regardless, whether you were a No.2 during successful or unsuccessful times.
Agar has the skills and ability from what I hear and now both he and the club feel the time is right for him to coach and lead the club forward as the head coach.
Good luck Rich, I hope your appointment is the start of a successful new dawn for us.
