Quote super_fc="super_fc"Yeah I agree with what your saying. However what would be the point in signing Webster again? We need to sign a top class scrum-half for next season, not another average one. Even if he is better than Thorman, he's no superstar and certainly isnt of the quality we require. Even if it was a short-term contract to the end of the season, again what's the point? He may offer us abit more than Thorman.... erm and thats it. Think everyone's come to terms with the fact that we arent going to be challenging for any honours this season, and the best we can hope for is a play-off finish, therefore im happy for us to stick with Thorman FOR NOW. Season finises = bye bye Thorman, hello top class scrum-half (hopefully) I just think signing James Webster would be even more pointless than signing him last season in all honesty. At the end of the day this rumour probably won't come to anything, however if we were to sign him for 2 years I would be thoroughly dissapointed.'"
if we sign him for 2 years I'd be very annoyed...because as you say we need a top class no7 for 2010.
but for the rest of the season he would at least give some competition at no7 and hopefully make Thorman up his game. I think he is by far our worst player at the moment, we could have played with 12men against Cas and you wouldn't have noticed the difference because he's been so ineffective lately.
He also seems keen to be a coach so could help out with some of the younger players development.
