Wow what a performance regardless of win, loss or the draw. The changes to see already under Cartwright are night and day to what we’ve seen in years. We look like a well drilled and fit team that is willing to give everything for their team mates and coach.
Cartwright has done a tremendous job so far along with this coaching team. I had doubts re Sezer but he has been a real leader and general out on the field. He’s the first in a long while we’ve had that has questioned the ref during the game. Asiata is another that has really stood up to the task at hand. Tonight they all from 1-17 did a great job but special mention to Bourouh who was outstanding tonight.
I don’t think there is any doubt we still have a long way to go but credit to everyone at the club for the progress they have made and continue to make.
Overall a draw is a fair result and for the first time in a long time an entertaining game.
Sadly once again a great game has seen some poor & questionable officiating all round from all the officials. The yellow cards dished to us yet Leigh escape for very similar offences, Martins try being awarded was very dubious and then to top off the terrible display was the clear foot on touch as Briscoe received the ball yet the assistant, Grant and the VR couldn’t even get that one right.
Now what we have to do is reproduce those efforts every week.
I thought the same about the martin try on the screen at the ground but just see the highlights on twitter and it actually looked ok

Just listened to the cartwright interview and he was right about the briscoe foot on the line incident. If his foot is on the line it's a penalty i the halfway line, if it's not it's play on. The officials just got it wrong imo
That was my thought watching it on the big screen. Briscoe's foot clearly does not slid backwards after he caught the ball so there was no way he caught it in the field of play and then subsequently put his foot into touch. Hence, as you say, it was either penalty on half-way or play on! It was just the last in a number of odd decisions, none of which went our way.

| excellent performance from 1-17, up against it in the first half with questionable decisions by the officials, but should have known with Grant after last week showing at Hudds. If offered a point at the start of the match i would have snatched your hand off, but after that decision by Jack Smith not to over turn Briscoe out on the full call, felt like we lost, not having a penalty on halfway and setting up for a DG which could've won us the match!
fear Rapana maybe banned for the cup game as he was already on 3 points.

I'm starting to get suspicious SKY are encouraging the long video ref action for the TV drama. Also still not a fan of Golden Point for a team to get zero points tonight would have been very poor and the players don't need the further 10mins of energy sapping drama for a league game.

| Bourouh 60 tackles in the middle with only 1 miss. Awesome effort from him.

| A truly heroic effort, not many pundits gave us a chance .The assists by Cust & Asiata were top drawer. For Sezer's conversions to hit the post twice is so unfortunate.. Obviously plaudits will go to Carty in prepping the team, but the improvement in the players fitness from Jon Clarke & Tom Bennett in such a short space of time is frankly unbelievable. Personally I feel once Knight, Watts & Eseh get match fit, we'll be a lot better, wouldn't mind seeing Ashworth in place of Lane, and also Knight to replace Aydin This would give us more grunt to dent the oppositions defensive line Rapana is wasted at centre, but unfortunately we don't have anyone else. For Leigh, Armstrong is an amazing player, also I thought Niu was a real handful. All in all, a great team performance

| Last night was the proudest I've been in FC for a long time, Leigh's quality in the backline and the two sin bins should've meant we lost that game, but we didn't, if anything, the sinbins and refs decisions fired the team up even more - can't remember us being as determined not to lose a game in a long while. We seem a bit smarter too, closing down every drop goal, not panicking on 6 agains etc - recent years teams would've just let Lam slot one over at the first opportunity
People have mentioned the lack of size in our pack, but last night it felt that our pack got the better of Leigh, whereas they edged it in the quality of their backline, Niu and Armstrong are two very good pickups for them.
The video refs definitely need to speed things up - if they have the evidence they need from camera angle 1, you don't need to check 4 other angles!

| Magnificent effort last night and the hardest earned point we are likely get for a very long time.
The way the players rallied when down to 12 then 11 men was really pleasing and impressive. In the last few years we would have collapsed and the game would have been over but Cartwright has instilled a real team spirit.
The decisions throughout were totally baffling and it wasn't just Hull supporters saying this on social media. I genuinely think the ref anf video ref were not sure on the rule re the Briscoe incident.
Only four games in and the improvements brought in by Myler and Cartwright are clear to see.
Some crazy match stats even given the extra ten minutes. As has been said, Bourouh with 61 tackles and Cartwright with 54. Seven players going over 100 metres.

| Thought Lane, Cartwright and Asiata were really good, and they all played 80+ minutes which allowed a much better rotation for the props. Not sure why Aydin didn't play more, thought he was maybe injured but then he came back on in GP. Bourouh playing about 86 minutes was massive too. The attack looked so much better from where we've been, really good to see.
Just got to keep backing that up now, the benchmark has been set.
