Think you'll find this is entirely down to cash mate. Lincs FM just needed the excuse not to broadcast and BOTH Hull clubs gave them it.

Yes cash that Lincs FM asked Hull to find to continue broadcasting. Can't speak for Rovers but I know Hull were not prepared to pay Lincs FM to broadcast matches.

It seems odd to me that a club would pay a broadcaster to effectively reduce the attendance of a match.

I know there is promotional value in keeping 'the brand ' to the forefront , but that must be balanced against actual income.

If Hull were not getting any money for KCFM's coverage as indicated by a number of posters, then thats not very good business on their part. Even worse is Wilfs claim that Hull were [i'putting thousands in to keep the whole thing going'[/i, which i find astonishing.

Do you seriously believe that someone in the local area, who could afford to attend a game in the first place, would choose not to attend, preferring to listen on the radio?

There was a significant investment of time and cash from the club to help KCFM get their RL coverage up to snuff. I think the idea was that over time it would move to a more normal commercial arrangement. The purchase by LincsFM seems to have scuppered that idea.

Indeed. FC Voices paid for an ISDN line to go in so we could broadcast the forums, KCFM/Lincs FM refused to pay for this.
