| Quote t.m.t.b.f.="t.m.t.b.f."We all know Kingy loved a few pints now and again, fair enough, but its gone against him finally for not being the consumate pro but the bloke never got himself in any real bother off the park whereby the police have been knocking on the club door explaining "what Paul had done the night before" unlike some of the players weve had on our books. He did his boozin (or most of it) within a 20 metre radius of walton street/anlaby rd junction and was really no bother to anyone, it was just the fact he had a talent better than all of his streetmates around him, unfortunately, away from the game he just wanted to be one of the boys, sway away from his responsibilities of being a pro sportsman and have a beer with those friends. Yes i know we could name others with "a similar attitude".
Good luck Paul, you've had 9 lives, unfortunately you've used them all up and in most professional team sports nowadays, coaches especially, sometimes are sceptical about taking risks on guys who may let them down with unprofessional attitudes etc and put their own positions at risk.
He's had a damn good run and i suppose we could all laugh and cry at some of stuff weve seen and heard over the past 11 years or so involving Paul'"
Good post and one that sums Paul up very well.
Having seen him as a young hooker at Myton to running out at Cardiff, Paul King was there fro us. He was a ray of hope when we started in SL and we have got along together.
Good luck to him and I hope he has a good, long and fruitful career at "the Dreadnoughts" and thanks for some wonderful memories.

she recons he looked like he hasnt eaten for a week, I hope this fiasco with PK isnt effecting him personally .....
has anyone else seen this also'"
What the HELL is this Fiasco-You obviously are in agreement with the Nanny State - 'ex RL Player lets all weep' - I have loved Kingy as a Hull player for a long time but we move on - If he hasnt eaten well thats his problem. Paul is quite capable of moving on either to Wakie or getting a job sweeping up in a Factory. I am sure if he read your post he would laugh his socks off.

A relative bumped into him at a Market the other day. He asked Kingy if he would go to Rovers. Kingy said he utterly hates them but would still have signed for them if they'd made an offer.

| No-one pinned him down and forced drink down his throat. He had more chances at the club than was necessary. He had the makings of a world class prop but chose to pss his life and talent away. That's his choice and he has to live with it.

| To get to the main point of this news, and not just descend into the slanging/defending match, good luck to him if he does get a deal at Wakey. It's quite possibly the best place for him and a good move for all parties. He perhaps needs a wake-up call and a change to reignite his career, we don't have a place in the team for him any more, Wakefield need a prop, and John Kear has a good record of giving players with a point to prove another chance and getting the best out of them. If he can at all turn his career back around, it's as good a destination as any to do so.
