| This is all just rumour and speculation at the moment. We don't have a non-fed spot available so all this talk of Whiting and/or Thompson leaving is meaningless.
Assuming we don't have a problem with one of our new overseas signings the obvious candidate to leave would be Michaels.
He has a contract which he would rightly expect to be paid up. AP has said he is not going to pay off any more players and can he afford to anyway?
The only way the deal could happen would be if Michaels goes to Cas in a swap deal or if there is a problem with his visa which would only have been for one year and would need to be extended. However as he has not been convicted of anything why wouldn't it be extended?

| Further problem, and one hopefully Chris28 could answer - If Micheals moves clubs, wouldn't he need to apply for a new visa? Whereas he wouldn't to stay on here.

He might do even if he stays with us, was he a one year initially with further options? If so, his initial visa might be just a year long one.

Dont quote me.., but if he's changed UK employer,
I think he needs a new work permit... and a new UK Visa to remain..
IF... the allegation in QLD, is still current,it would be difficult
to renew his visa.. -IMO

| Headline reads 'Hull Players veto Carney move' and article states that it was a 'done deal' on Thursday but as rumours leaked out 'the management were asked if they would speak with the players first who then rejected the player joining them'

| I find it amazing (if its true) that a club which has suffered adversely as a result of "player power" over at least the last 10 years should allow its players to have a veto over who it does or does not sign.
Can anyone imagine Leeds or Wigan doing this?

| @James_Smailes: I see there's plenty people saying FC are signing Justin Carney. 95% chance that won't happen as it stands. There was an enquiry, no deal.

[iIf[/i it's true and there was a player vote/discussion on signing Carney, it would have been a complete one off I imagine due to the what went on at Cas and the personal link to Jordan Thompson.

Might be a moot point now, but Michaels would need sponsorship from the new employer and then applies to transfer his visa. Same applies to Carney. Allegations of potentially criminal behaviour aren't considered as part of the visa process so there should be no problem for Michaels to move if that was what's happening.
If he stays here, we issue new sponsorship and extend the visa.
