TBH I can't see it coming off now, its dragged on for too long and the longer it does the less likely it will happen.
The Government have shafted the City by not getting behind the project and pushing for the deal to be made, the latest I heard was Siemens were rethinking their plans and preferred a site to be in a country that has a a focus on renewable energy. Again another reason the Government have shafted the City when John Hayes shot his mouth off against Wind Energy. If it had been a site south of Luton the Government would have pulled out all the stops and the deal would have been done and dusted.
Regarding pass sales, I honestly think that if we can get 8000 and over then in the current financial climate in our area in particular then I think the club have done well. We are moving in the right direction and AP has invested heavily in the infrastructure of the club and the Coach has put plans in place to achieve success but it aint going to happen over night. The club have done as well as can be expected with regards to the amount of players required coming in and going out in one close season as last years recruitment was all done before the change of ownership.
I am sure that as soon as the club moves forward on the pitch and shows consistency and is challenging for trophies with the likes of Wigan, Leeds, Warrington etc then the numbers will improve but until then we are still living with the history and in the shadows of the previous false dawns.
