He played for the reserves because his coach decided that he didn't need him in the 1st team this week. In recent years, we wouldn't have even noticed, but the reserves comp is there to provide players not picked the opportunity to get valuable game time.
Rumours are self-perpetuating. Here's an example:
Bloke 1 writes on here his 'theory' on this forum about Kelly's absence
Bloke 2 reads this and relays it to bloke 3 at the match saying he's 'heard' the reason for Kelly's absence
Bloke 3 comes on here and says he reckons it is true because someone else had told him the same thing at the match
And repeat ad-finitum...
It's not rocket science :-;'"
I can confirm this is the case as I have had people tell me things for "fact" that I have made up and posted on here |

The one thing we should be under absolutely no illusions about is quite how seriously Rovers are taking this game. The emphasis on an all costs win is is unlike anything in recent years. This from their camp. With us missing 2 key back rowers and Houghton not match fit either it's easy to see how their turnaround advantage and quality three quarters could be exploited to do the required damage.

Me too. Used to get the old VHS video tapes from my brothers mate who had a pen pal in Australia, (younger users Google it!).
Favorite team was Parramatta. Great players like Price, Kenny, Grothe. Sterling was my hero and when he signed for us I just couldn't believe! remember watching him making his debut along with Wally Lewis at Wakefield.
One of the greatest ever to wear the famous irregular hoops. Let's give him the reception he deserves. |
