Quote Irregular Hoops="Irregular Hoops"Thing is, didn't he represent NSW and Australia at his age group?.
That would indicate he's got a decent skill set and is/was a good player.
Was hoping he was going to be our scrum half for years to come, but can't see it happening now, especially under the current regime.'"
Millers skill set is very good, he's a very naturally gifted player.
The trouble is players who can do what we want him to do, to the standard we need and at his age just don't exist. It takes a very special player to run the team at 21 years old, they probably come around only a couple of times in a generation. There are of course good halfbacks kicking about at that age, but they tend to be runners, not on field generals.
If Miller gets himself a good club, with the right players around him, and the right coaching, then he will be a top player 3 or 4 years down the line. Unfortunately we can't wait that long.
