Wouldn't disagree, but all except O'Carroll are 1 year deals. Agar going into his 5th year had failed to replace Domic and left us short in the back row and sunk a huge wedge into Seymour's salary. Tactical short term deals were needed before a bigger restructure for 2013 which we're already on with. Quality not what's needed long term but we're not stuck with them long term. Don't know what else could have been done by the new administration tbh with players like Obst contracted.

Well of course, but that would depend on who's available.

We have signed some very good players in Lynch, Seymour, Heremaia, Mckinnnon and Ellis.

If we had any academy players other than Lyne with more than a couple of SL games to their name I would agree. Fact is without this group of siginings we'd have only 16 players with first grade experience by my count. I think it's an understandable short term strategy, and more a consequence of our shambolic youth development under Agar.

And then below average players like burnett who will potnetially block the route into the 1st team for our 3 U20's back rowers who look to be ready for the 1st team. Would leeds, saints, wigan, wire, hudds or even the dobbins have been interested in signing burnett?

I don't think we'll see Burnett play in the back row, and we only have four props with
Sl experience.

I do agree with you, I thought that myself when I read about the signing.

I would have been disgusted if we had signed Martin, Aspinwall or Burnett.

Especially with them not all being Australian you would !

read martin aspinwall missed the coma, still, wouldn't expect them 2 be in the staring 13, maybe martin but aspinwall and burnett will be back ups imo
