Talanoa our most effective winger, not sure I agree, too slow, poor defensively and poor under the high ball, Fonua is a better winger IMO. Talanoa is great at making yards but I'd like more from my winger, you talk about our backs being slow then big up Talanoa

Griffin is among our best metre men. 9 plus metres a carry. Far in front of anyone else in the backs
Not his fault our attack has been lacking to really release him. For a half v wigan we were flowing and he had gelling on toast
Defensively he ain't gonna be as good as yeamo. Few are. But I've found most of what he's been blamed for a bit laughable. A winger got 3 tries scored outside of him and it was griffins fault?
Salford he was gash granted. But so was everyone. The left side is much the same as the right last yr. It's a bit out of sync but I've not seen too many one on one misses. A couple stand out but I've also seen Mini and Sneyd do it too

We have moved on since then IMO, I think he is an OK winger, but to continue to challenge I think we need better, although not sure there will be better available so he might end up staying. To be honest he will stay as Radford really rates him.

As I've said it early days, but he has cost us a few try's and although great in the first half against Wigan he was playing against an injured Gelling.

Mini will always miss tackles with the anmount of work he has to do and plays too many minutes, Sneyd like most halfs struggles at times with his defence.

Hopefully Griffin will improve as I feel he has real potential.

Agreed - Talanoa isnt perfect but hes a very good player - what player is 100% in all areas? If he was he'd be on top dollar in the NRL so i really dont get peoples critisism

2015 had some stand out momens. .magic hatrick a good 1. But it was at the end of the yr. From centre due to injuries I really realised his worth. We were e. Yet he was the only back who looked or in fact did anything
Then before last season was chatting with a guy about Talanoa. Both agreed how massive he was to what we do. 1st game came. We discussed the match and we said 'how good was Talanoa man' ..come the end of the year we must have said that after at least 10 games minimum. Born out by him being our top try scorer..2nd and 3rd buster..clean breaker in a high performing team. Also usually top 2 or 3 in the two lesser known stats of penalties won and fast play of the balls won in the whole league.
I also remember a post match interview with radders. Guy asked him about Talanoa. He said the biggest compliment he could pay him was he'd had a couple of opposition coaches say how they have special tactics for him specifically. I wouldn't swap him for many others for sure. He'd be good in any team but he's tailor made for this hull team
