The seeming lack of the players knowing what was going on for the first couple of months of the season. Maybe they should have this extraordinary annual general meeting before the season starts next time

| Quote: WormInHand "Agree with the Peter Sharp sentiments. I was frustrated to see him go. Horrendous injury toll in following the 2006 season triumph, and bloodied a loys of "babies" as he put it. Cooke leaving took the heart out of the team, too - had to start rebuilding the playing structure and pivots from scratch, so important was Cooke tothe way we played.
Only issue I had with Sharp was his insistance on trying to make players into "utility players" in key positions. The prime example was forcing Motu into the fullback position over the specialist Briscoe - never ever got that one.'"
Didn't he bin Danny Brough?

| Quote: Robbo4 "We appear to have completely changed philosophy which is apparently on the back of a clear the air team meeting a few weeks ago. We are attacking with much more fluidity and offloads have suddenly returned. If this way of playing remains then Radford should be given some more time but the fact we have had to change how we play actually backs up what the Radford out Brigade have been saying.
We play really boring uninspiring rugby so the fans get fed up and start to call for the coach to sort it out or go. The coach eventually appears to change philosophy with the game plan and we start to play some attractive rugby and get some results and apparently this means the fans were wrong to ever question the coach in the first place. I'll leave you to decide just how dumb that is.'"
Exactly, it's like the Sam Allardyce situation. Fans not happy at what they're being served, so it changes to what they do want, then suddenly they're wrong? Bizarre.
I didn't go on Saturday (haven't been since the Catalan game), and didn't actually even bother listening, so how could I comment on here about the game? Given what I've seen/heard about the change in our attack in the last 2 games, I might be back on Friday, though.

Get yourself back, I think the team deserve some of the fans who have been missing (which is fair enough) after the last two performances,
Hopefully we can get a crowd of around 11K and the team will put a performance in and we can carry on with our momentum.

im still here, still don't believe he is the man for the job, BUT credit were it is due, he seems to have changed something for the team to perform a bit better. if he can keep fc improving and playing entertaining rugby then he could change my mind.
I do seem to remember end of last season we played well towards the end, thinking and hoping he was making the right changes etc, then we went on a horrendous run, things going backwards. again we seem on a good run, some maybe, just maybe he is turning it round....time will tell. but atm I still don't believe he is the right man

As above for me.
Whilst pleased in the recent upturn in results, I'm far from convinced we are on the right path.
If, as the club state, our long term goal is to be a genuine top four club then I'm still to be convinced that Lee Radford is the man.
However, the position of coach is only one of many issues that need to be addressed before we can even remotely start thinking about those dizzy heights.
Also, as an aside, this entire discussion is a repeat of the one we had in 2010. Exactly the same conversation with the name of Agar being substituted by Lee Radford. I was unconvinced by Agar and I remain unconvinced by Radford as a long term solution to our many problems.

| I'm not convinced by Radford either and it will take a lot more consistent performances to convince me he is the man to take us forward.
I would love to be proved wrong though and would gladly eat humble pie if it happens.

| Well we've got what we've got and as we can do nothing about it, we need to give our coach and his team all the support we can. Things on the field appear to be changing for the better and lets hope that carries on. If it does they all deserve some praise (although there will still those who cannot bring themselves to admit they're wrong).

| Same for me I have not seen enough yet to say he is the right man. I thought it was the wrong decision at the wrong time to give Radofrd the job and still hold that same view. Ok so we have put some wins together but the performances have in the most part been very scratchy to say the least. After 18 months of complete dire play with the same mistakes been made etc it is going to take more than a few wins to erase the same old same old of the past 8 years.
The question now is can they keep up this level of consistency shown in the last two games and keep building on it?
Also why the sudden turn around from being so boring with no attacking flair, off loading, angle or dummy runners to seeing just about everything in the game against Cas??
We have all seen far too many false dawns to think we are on the road to greatness just yet.

Rumour is that that isn't down to Radford, certain posters on here would have you think Radford has turned us into an attacking force using all his guile and know-how overnight...it aint so.
Though winning is the name of the game, I still don't want Radford at the helm, he's shown to have too many negative traits, too much to say about the fans in a negative light, isn't a man manager of any sort. Short of winning silverware this season I want him gone from a personal POV, if we don't make top 6 by season end he goes because frankly anything less just isn't good enough and is yet another season of failure and another backward step from where we were in 2012/2013.
