| I've never seen charnley do anything exceptional and whilst hall is a good finisher, I think Briscoe is a better player. If either hall or charnley had been on teh wing for Hull for the last 5 years, neither would have played for GB/England.
Will be a big loss

| Briscoe seems really strong when he gets tackled, staying on his feet/knees (not getting rolled over) and the ref calling held and get's a quick play the call. I'd definitely have Briscoe over Charnley if I was England coach. It would be a shame if he did go to the NRL. Maybe he'll have a change of heart and join Rovers instead

| Whilst Tom looks certain to leave, if he did say stay our backline would be sorted minus a halfback for years to come.
McDonnell, Briscoe, Crooks, Arundel, Yeaman, Lineham, Crookes, Holdsworth.

| Well not to fussed about Briscoe leaving in all honesty. Yes he is a great player and will miss him but i feel Lineham will be alot better then Briscoe overall soon.
I Hope it goes well for him over in the NRL and hopefully one day come back to us.

| Hall is very good but how could he not shine in a champion team. Great finisher, and excellent under a high ball.
Can he make a break out of nothing like Briscoe? No, does he possess great footwork no. Also for all his size Tom over recent yrs on the stats has beaten him on tackle busts metres n offloads.
Tom is better in pretty much every single dept over Charnley!
As said if either of those 2had played in the same hull teams as Tom I doubt either would have made half the impression Tom has.
Made a break against cas the other day from absolutely nothing, combination of footwork strength pace n power. I thought at the time how many in S L could of made that break in that circumstance. Not many at all.
Grateful we've Tom lineham coming through but he'll be very different to Briscoe, lineham 'could' turn out to be very effective even prolific n as a winger more useful to us but doubt he'll provide that true x factor Briscoe does.

You'd "not be fussed" if our international winger left?
He'd be a huge loss, regardless of the emergence of Tom Lineham.

Briscoe's good, certainly, and played great against us last season. He may well be able to do some stuff that Hall can't. I'd say Hall was better though, largely because you hardly ever have to go back more than a game or two to find an example of a try of his that required exceptional play to score it. Briscoe seems less consistent in that respect although obviously I see less of his general play than you lot.

Tbh no. I no it would be a huge loss but we can't make him stay.

| Anyone who would want Lineham and Crookes on the wing over Lineham and Briscoe want their heads looking at.
He is a fantastic winger, he has the X Factor and you need to pay for that. We have the money to sign a scrum half, we just didnt find the right one. Keeping Briscoe would not detract from that

And sadly thats the problem for me. Until we get a decent halfback we will never imo get the best out of this backline. I personally feel its that lack of quality at 6 & 7 which has led to Tom stagnating a little over the past 18 months. I am sure that will be a consideration once he actually makes his mind up.

| Ryan Hall is a great finisher but Tom Briscoe can (and regularly does) make something out of nothing.
If he had a centre partner that could (would) put him away the same as Ryan Hall does then he'd look like an outstanding player just because of the amount of tries he would be scoring.
Tom Lineham looks to have that same spark that we all saw in Tom Briscoe a few years ago - his return from in-goal against Castleford to then get 20m upfield was exactly the sort of thing that we'd have seen Mr Briscoe do a couple of years ago.
Huge loss for us
