Of all the options we have that is by far the worst one.

Really, I believe Washbrook remaining as one of the half backs is the worst option available.

| Hall struggles to catch the ball at times, as proved again on Friday night. He certainly struggles with decision making, does not have the best passing game and can't kick.
What does he bring to the role? A bit of speed in the middle of the pitch maybe but seriously if we are depending on him we are screwed.
Washbrook, Turner, Whiting, Tansey and the young kid (whose name escapes me) are all far better options.

| What about someone like Andy Kain from Fev or Thackery from Widnes (although I think if you went for the latter Terry O'Connor would explode)?
I am sure neither would be released with pleasure by their clubs but both have SL experience and have both been playing pretty well in a vastly improved second tier.
Surely borrowing one of them with a nice cash gift to the club would make more sense than blooding a young un or playing someone out of position. Hull have a real chance of top 4 and need someone who is a natural half back and who has played more than a handful of first team games, at any first team level.

| So lets get this right, most of you want to play a full back (Tansey) at scrum half but some of you would like to see a hooker there (Berrigan) and now some of you even want to play a winger/centre (Hall) there too. Dont want to be too radical or anything but why dont we try and play a scrum half in the scrum half position, ie Webster who would do a better job than all three names that seem to be getting mentioned.

Quota, cap, age, registration, quality, desire. In roughly that order.

| Not been through the entire thread, so sorry if this is repeating anything previously posted.
Is Webster actually eligable to play? What would be the registration process?
On a slightly different note, if Long's injury is going to be for the season, which is a highly probable, is there scope to bring in a replacement on loan / short term deal a la Matt Head (for example)?

Koshs post above you sums up the Webster dilema.as for your other post...Agar has said we are not looking to bring anyone in but may keep options open....this must mean we have some money knocking about and IF they dont bring someone in and we can afford to bring one in then Agar must be held accountable to what happens the remainder of the season.

| Would we need Salford's permission or Saints permission to talk to Matty Smith?
And what is the score regarding his year loan. Can he be released early if a permanent contract was offered?

For 2011?
I think he falls into the category of too good to be Long's understudy, not good enough to be his replacement.
