Quote: Jake the Peg "agar shouldn't be washing his dirty laundry in public, he should be dealing with the issue in private. His weakness is another sign he isn't up to the job as head coach of a big SL club.

It's easier for him to blame the players week in, week out than to admit he's the problem'"
Yet when he doesn't people are moaning on here! Face it, his hands are tied, what do you want him to do? Drop 5 or 6 and put youngsters who are not ready in? Then have there confidence battered also? People are too quick with the "change everything" angle without knowing exactly how to go about it. What has Agar done recently that has single handedly cost us a game? A lot of the players have no passion for the club at the moment and it's showing! If players don't want to play for the shirt how do you expect anyone to get the best out of them?
There will be people leaving the club in the off season, our signings have proved this and with talk of more coming its a certainty.
A lot of our players don't have the drive, determination or will to succeed and it is that flaw in them that shows, when things go wrong they are selfish and narcassistic.
We have signed 3 players for next year that have all had the drive etc.. To make it to the top of there sport in Long, o'meley and fitzgibbon. When the going gets tough next year this is when we will see the gulf of class.

I think Agar is as fed up with it as the rest of us. He let fly in the Circle restaurant in 2007 when Catalans beat us in the cup and his interview on Blunderside sounded similar.

I'm not for one minute saying he should stay (or J Sharp for that matter) but I reckon the problems are, as people have said, some players taking the michael and also the team being picked by the non-coaching staff at the club.

Whatever the shortcomings of our chairperson, I think it's something of a myth that she tells the coach who to play. As far as I'm aware, she stays well out of that.

Chris if that is the case then its 2 years of him knowing what a set of shisters we have at the club. He has been in charge for the majority of that time and yet we have probably gone backwards in that time. Words are cheap, action is what is needed. We have done nothing but read cheap words all season. The articles in the HDM interviews on FCFM and Humberside, yet we see nothing on the field that suggests we are moving to address these issues.

I can't even stomach the injuries excuse anymore. If that was something to fall back on we would be losing games in the last 1/4 as the team runs out of steam ( see cup final last year ) as opposed to the first 10 minutes ( see wakey, Leeds, Cas for example this year.)

Agar, Sharp, Last, Crooks, then at least 10 players should be out of the door come October 1st. I could go on but can't be bothered.

What is apparent is that the only ones with any passion for the B&W shirt at the moment is us fans. We don't all agree on a way forward, but I think we all agree that the ones representing us are letting us down badly and don't deserve another year of this.

Quote: Robbo4 "Not that I'm a fan of Agar by any means but surely most people can see that his hands are tied at the moment with regards dropping players due to the sheer number of players out injured? Certain players are just going through the motions IMO which hopefully means that they are indeed on the way out of the club. We need a massive turnover of players and it looks like we might be getting it.'"

I agree to an extent that his hands are tied but he still makes a rod for his own back by dropping players like Whiting when they have done nothing to deserve it.

Personally I don't think we will see any change until the season is doen and then we will see major changes in terms of player being shown the door, including some still under contract.

Player changes will make little difference I fear with the coaching set up we have at present with decisions like leaving Whiting sat on his for over 40 minutes. They have no tactical nouse, game plans and are in capable of preparing a team for the game.

I think a change in personel will help quite a bit but I do take your point, I still feel Agara is out of his depth and I would love to see him replaced in the winter, won't happen though.

Agreed - Agar's selections have been baffling even allowing for the constraints imposed by the farcical injury situation. It's my biggest gripe about him as coach.

I seriously hope this will be the case. Let's hope that the pain of this season is not without some gain in the medium term. We cannot continue as a club to be carrying players who are dragging the whole system down to their amateurish level, be it on or off the field. When it gets to the point where players are gesturing to the crowd/team mates during a match I think things have reached rock bottom.

The speed of the play the ball, the lack of supporting players, the lack of options for the ball carrier, the lack of structure in attack and defence, an absence of offloads are all things which are down to coaching IMO. yes, some of the players aren't pulling their weight but the fundamental problem is the poor coaching right through the club. CHanging teh players won't change that

No doubt the so called cultures at the club need sorting out if they do exist. Another aspect that RA may have eluded to when he said that players need to get their priorities right could be a certain high profile member of our team taking full inlcusion in a "pre season" intensive training session for another club (different code) a few hours prior to our taking on the current SL champions and subsequently being absolutely b*ll*xed after 10 minutes. This of course is all alleged but if there is truth in the rumour then it also hums a little in my eyes.

Slightly O/T but again about Agar's comments albeit in tonight Mail re Craig Hall;

"....he gives us a big threat with his footballing brain playing from full back"

Jeez the kid isn't a full back and it's because he (Agar) played him there in the first place that shot is confidence...he goes on to say.....

"....he made some mistakes, especially in the big games and they affected his confidence greatly. So we dropped him"

Great man mangement skills there and to then follow that up by saying it to a reporter....people might not agree but when dealing with people, particularly ones who are lacking confidence you don't come out and say things like that....true or not.
