| Excellant Points from Karl it is a thankless task as he so well knows. I think that if we are in such a bad state and so many folks are upset, (as we would be led to believe on here) then 4000 is not an unacceptable target. The trouble is folks like to sit behind their computers and complain and yet will not spend that time giving something back, or putting their money where their mouths are.
Any New HIsA arganisation could use all the constitution etc that the current one has, but I know what Karls problems are and I am sure he would agree that it probably needs some new and probably high profile staff at the top and a big membership drive to get the size of mandate it will need.
My point is that if things are as bad as they were back in the late 1990's folks will be clambering to join, if not then it will be harder, but those who think we need the organisation must weigh their own thoughts against the thoughts of the general support and decide if there is enough feeling to make it a goer!!
If they feel there is they should get hold of Hutchie discuss the current situation and a way of remobilising the Group!

| Quote Hutchie="Hutchie"i know he has put 4000, but i think that is way too unrealisitic.
Avg fan base of 10k, i would think between 1 & 2k is more realistic.
the problem being is people will ask for such organisation, but its getting them to join that is the problem, some will begrudge paying a pound or whatever, others will just say its not worth it theyll do nothing for me. Even if its free it will be a struglle to build up the numbers'"
How time consuming a job is it? Would it be easier if more people were involved in terms of running it?

More the merrier although i would guess you would have to cap a limit on the committee.
All depends on how involved those running it want to be.
We used to have a monthly meeting of the committee, but then there is also the FC Voices meetings(HISA have a place on the committee lying dormant at the moment), although id presume subject to there agreement that it could be more than one person representing HISA who take it in turns at there meetings, or even two people on there if the organisaton grows.
After that its upto the people how much time they want to dedicate, what roll the Chair & Vice take, time spent building up the membership, promoting it on match days or other events.
And then from thereon if it wants to hold any events - fans forums, race evenings, charity/testimonial events, attendance at club events etc etc
And the occasional bit of media whoring

| HISA will not work, it's whole existence is bankrupt now in the eyes of the current regeime. FCVoices does it's part, but as has been said, it wasnever formed as a fans pressure group.
There would need to be an entirely new organisation, with a written and publshed constitution, set of objectives etc. (and it would need to go beyond the objective of finishing above KR in the league or any such half d ideals). The people concerned would need, genuinely, to have the good of the club at heart as opposed to any self-serving agenda.
If someone wants to try and start such a groupd then I'll hapily get involved, on the proviso that we get written agreement from Kath and all of the other shareholders to meet on a shceduled basis, and for the meetings to allow a public attendance, and for the minutes to be taken by someone independent to both organisations, and published, IN FULL, within 24 hours.
In short, it will never happen.

| FC Voices is pointless in my opinion.
We could have 7,500 people that think one thing, but the 6 or so members of FC Voices may disagree so not put our point across.
Regular Fans Forums is what's need.
Beginning, middle and end of season.

That doesn't sound too bad actually. If enough people want to start this I would be happy to be involved.

| Bearing in mind I can not do much before 8pm most weekdays due to work and the I am not the most popular person within the clubs heirachy.
I will volunteer to help set up, serve in some capacity anyone who wants to kick start the new HISA. We need to set up a sort of steering commitee that will organise a mass meeting say at Charleston.
Hutchie and the some ex leaders of HISA need to be involved with this group, Steve Roberts where are you ?
I can understand them not wishing to get too involved and it should be made clear that they will only be required to help kick start the group. Leaders and others will emerge from the meeting, I will be prepared to offer my services on the commitee if needed but within the problems I have with helping.
anyone else ?

Or even a monthly online fans forum where a panel take e-questions from fans. All questions to be accepted other than personal slurs.

and you know that how?
Have 7500 or even 75 people contacted FC voices on an issue on which they were agreed and had it ignored?
Just what would a fans forum full of people foaming at the mouth and demanding "kath out" "sack the board" and other such wittery actually really achieve? If it was twice as rational as some of the stuff posted on here, or aired on the radio post match it still wouldn't have a hope in hell taken seriously. You'd need a meeting with a few rational, level headed, but passionate supporters to pass the concerns of the majority on.

As used to be on the old hullfc.com
It needs to be run by a member of HISA who would be able to moderate it correctly.

A Fans Forum for HISA members only then.
I know of atleast 4 members of FC Voices that come on here, there's plenty of people post on here which issues regarding the club.
