Fitz also said according to the HDM that he will continue to make as many tackles as he's currently making until the team start performing , that he's going to carry on playing 13 regardless because that's his game and he's not a prop. Now is that him telling Agar or the coach making the decision? "Erm , Fitzy , would you mind if us played Westy at loose this week cos we've just spent shed loads of money on a ball playing 13 and..." "Feck off said Fitzy , I'm only 28 and still the fittest player in the World , I'll do what I want". Agar , " Yeah good call , I was thinking the same thing".
Mmm we'll se what happens tomorrow then.

I thought exactly that when i read it. Sign a creative 13 but Fitz wants to stay there. Wonder how much player power really does exist.

What I expect us to be able to do, building phase or otherwise, is run hard, tackle well, support the ball carrier, and use dummy runners. We do none of these things. We haven't for the entirety of Agar's tenure.

He may well have inherited a mess but he has not improved the key deficiencies that everyone can see and he himself identifies after games. This despite having a significantly better squad.

I gave him credit for finishing 6th last season. It was a big improvement, largely down to some good recruitment. However, we ended the season with some glaring problems that simply have not been addressed during the closed season.

Enough is enough.

Best not mention how highly O'Meley rates Agar compared to his previous coaches then!

The thing is we need more than words now.

If a reporter sticks a microphone under the club captains mouth and asks him what he thinks of the speculation regarding the coach then he's only going to say one thing

maybe fitz should take over from agar......just a thought
