That's not what you've been suggesting at all. When I stated some younger players with potential you said that they weren't good enough yet and we couldn't afford to wait so need to buy the older guard instead (and at a high price if necessary). Then when our players reach their sell-by dates over the next couple of years we should just start spending again.
'Shrewd buys' are those that are good value for money and provide long term benefits, your suggestions so far have been neither. |
