I haven't seen mondays game yet but through the season he's been one of their top performers, I think hes found his position at 13 and for that reason I dont think we need him. I'd also be amazed if hkr let him go.

Sometimes players fall down the pecking order at clubs for whatever reasons, A on form Watts is good enough to get in the england squad, he has massive potential (not in the back row though).

NH has alreadly said that McDonnell has had a offer hkr can't get near, he didn't mention which club but we'll find out soon enough.

Why would Horne walk a way for a contract?

The coaching staff have already said he'll be our fb next season.

Now he would improve Widnes.

But can anybody say whatever he could bring us would take us to where we want to be and challenging for trophy's? Or would he be just better than we have? these are two different objectives.

watts's best games for rovers have all been in the back row, it was those performances at 13 that got him into the national squad. he's been disappointing when playing in his "proper" position with low go forward figures and constant penalties. As you say Wattsy does have a lot of potential but then again so did Paul King at Hull, I think a lot of us can see him going the same way with his attitude to life and his career.

Rovers losing such a potentially talented young player would normally have people wailing and gnashing teeth, the fact that the most people are showing is mild disappointment at best speaks volumes really.

Just what I think , his body's shot and maybe they've agreed a pay off or maybe on the coaching staff . If he's our full back next season why have we enquired about McDonnell and Kearney . Think what gentle meant was he would be if we can't get no one .

You cant have a team of super stars unless youve got either bags of cash and break the cap or like wigan bring brilliant youth through the system and we have got a few months left to bring in some big name pivots
