I think that's a terrible sentence to put on a website. It is highly suggesting that his depression is down to "abuse" by fans. That's hardly going to help matters at all.

I think a mixture of previous, poor form, Pearson, Gentle and the fans did it to him tbh

Your are clearly an expert on mental health issues.

A history of substance misuse (alcohol) combined with the public slaughtering by AP and everyone else associated with the club would without doubt contributed to the awful incident that occured.

For PG to deem that he was mentally prepared to play against Widnes is what surprises me the most, does the club not use a sports psychologist.

But what bothers me more is surely Nicklas and Crooks knew something wasn't right with him, yet still chose to take the pis s out of him rather than the many other players who were also shocking against Widnes.

That's the point some are spectacularly missing.

I personally think being told you're not good enough (how true it might be is irrelevant) publicly, is a slaughtering of the mans confidence.

Not personally but close family has and i know that lots of seemingly inocuous little things can build up and make a much larger issue. Perhaps the game against Widnes was one thing too far for Seymour hence him snapping. Im not talking down to or about anybody just stating the obvious so no need to be so precious really
