I've never understood the logic to this attitude. You're saying that you think the best way to encourage the club to improve is to reduce the amount of money they have to spend?

TBH that doesn't surprise me.
Just like I don't understand the logic of giving them the best part of £500 (pass, shirts, programmes, etc) a year only to be returned with some of the poorest rugby I have seen in many of a while.
IF we was a club like Salford or Quins, your post may have a point but because we are one of the only few SL teams who can a) make a profit , b) sell over 10,000 season passes and shirts and c) attract over 10,000 to every home game.
Now whilst I know you will stick up for the club no matter what they do, you have to notice you see clubs like Bradford and Huddersfield coming up with schemes to not only inroduce new fans to the game but reward current fans for there loyalty by charging less then £100 a season pass. Clubs like Wigan who a few seasons ago nearly got relegated and now are Super League champions, they did this all with charging less to go to a home game and less for there season passes. They somehow still find the money for top coaching and top players.
We have by far being the worst attacking team in the top 8 this season and the season before possibly the whole league. Now considering we are charged top dollar and the most in the league to watch this crap is a complete joke. Everywhere around us clubs are slashing prices or coming up with schemes trying to expand, all we do is sign an overage Aussie and up the prices by a couple of quid a game.
I'm sorry if you can't understand the logic, but the sooner the board realise fans aren't happy and are no longer willing to pay the prices for what they see then they will change something. A bit like if people stop drinking in particular pub or eating in a restaurant.
The club has the ability and money to change now, just like Wigan and just like Huddersfield. We are not relying on our money (future income) in the hope we can sign better players. They have that ability now and are doing sweet FA about it, if the price is right you could tempt anyone under contract or not.

Last season I had a unreserved east stand pass - I don't want a reserved seat because what happens when I'm lumbered with some loud mouthed idiot behind me. I would be stuck with them all season.
I don't want to sit in the South Stand as I much prefer a side on view.
that is one of 2 negative things to all this for me!! the other is making sure i am sat at least halfway up the east,as i don't want to be placed at the front, for viewing reasons obviously.
Surely I can't be the only person who wants a side view unreserved pass.'"

Well we have spent big at the club over the last few years which has shown with increased pass sales, increased merchandise sales etc. Yet the club have repaid us by signing a poor unproven coach and then by increasing his contract when he had done nothing in my eyes to warrant one.
So giving them money hand over fist is not improving our situation on the field just boosting the profits. I will be renewing my pass (screw loose methinks) but I will not be buying shirts this season although I may purchase one when they go down in price in one of the sales they have throughout the season. I will also not buy tickets for away games from the club either.
Hell when you think about it, we haven't even had a boost before passes go on sale (IE New big name signing or some other big encouraging news) we just got a bit of blurb about how our young team are now 1 year older and with our recruitment it looks like they will be pretty much the same personnel which with the players we have got rid of means we have a decent chunk of the cap left to spend.

| Food for thoughtBradford Bulls - Ground Admission Adult £18 (Standing in the open)
Cheapest seating is £19 (on the ends of an open stand)
Subsidised passes through the 'pledge' will be £60 & Tetley's Main Stand tickets will be £99.

Catalan – N/A
Crusaders - Season pass £220. £150 for standing
Harlequins - Platinum £199 (reserved seating) Bronze £115 (unreserved seating)
They also do a renewals offer which I like the sound of - Platinum £175 and Bronze £99
Huddersfield – season pass £170 and there’s the ‘subsidised’ pass of £90
Dobbins – I just couldn’t click on the link, it made me feel sick thinking about it.
Salford - standing £130 Austin Trumanns main stand £180 (price after joining membership scheme)
Leeds - Season passes start at £200, probably standing (with membership scheme)
St Helens - East & West Terrace Standing £179.00 (Renewal price *) £196.00
North Stand £232.00* £254.00
South Stand £244.00* £273.00
Remember this is to watch their team play in someone else’s stadium.
Warrington - £191 for renewal, otherwise £210
Wigan - £187 for renewal, otherwise £201

| I don't think many people will be griping with the pass prices as they are reasonable enough. What is bad is our matchday prices, no wonder we struggle to get people coming with what they have to pay to come in.

Yeah, right.
I always suspected that you never actually read what I posted - just looked at the name and ranted randomly. Now I know it for a fact.
I understand the justification used by people who want to take their ball home. I just don't think that the internal logic adds up. For a start it's based on the assumption that the club are knowingly failing to do something to improve matters on the field, which seems a little far-fetched. Then there's the idea that a club apparently reluctant to spend money on a coach while it has plenty of cash will be convinced to do so when it has less.
You don't want to pay to watch FC any more? That's fine. Just don't try and pretend that it's for the good of the club.

| £24 for match day is pretty expensive, be my first live game for 2 years though in July, so will be happy to pay it, hopfully get to at least 4 games, including a derbt game and CC semi!!!!
Pass prices seem decent value though.
Can't wait for the fixtures to come out, I think I might be the only one looking at posts on here.

| Reasonably happy with the cost.....my only gripe is I will buy 3 passes together and pay with my debit card this is one transaction yet I will be charged £6 costs (£2 per pass), feel a bit ripped off with that tbh

My sentiments exactly. Will fish the old cheque book out. Don't fancy taking £600 in cash!
