| Not sure about 2 years myself, would have been happier with one, but not depressed by it either. I think also what is fantastic, is the news he is coming into the coaching set up. That can only be a big plus IMO.

| Poor signing.
would have been ok for 1 year, but I very much doubt he'll be good enough in year2.

I'm glad he has re-signed, the two year deal is a surprise though. If as looks likely we have missed out on Fielden then this is an important signing as available props are a bit thin on the ground.
Radders has an excellent apperarance record probably the best at the club after Dowes (ironically).
2006 31 from 32 games
2007 31/32
2008 29/32
2009 27/28
2010 25/27
A couple of the missed games weren't necessarily down to injuries either
Fully agree (as usual )

Not in my opinion.
As for the question of Loyalty, it could also be said that he has used the interest from Rovers as leverage to gain the second year of his new contract so I don't buy it.
I don't know whether he will bring something to the coaching front or not but I don't believe that this should play a part in negotiating a playing contact. If they like him as a coach then employ him as one.

Trying to get the best deal for himself and his family? Disgraceful act of disloyalty, eh

| obviously a 1 year deal would of been better but if it is true that dowes has signed for bradford then that does leave us short upfront so not to dissapointed. with dowes and cusack going i still feel 1 more quality prop is needed ideally fielden would be great. also id like to see fitzy named in at prop with whiting and washy fighting for the 13 position. so we could see omeley, sam moa, fielden(hopefully), radders and if we dont get another prop then fitzy at prop.

Feel free to point out where I have accused him of being disloyal? Of course he is entitled to try and get the best deal for himself and his family but by the same token does this make him loyal Saint Lee Radford of Hull FC, eh
Afraid we will just have to agree to disagree on the merits of this piece of recruitment.

| Quote: Eric The Viking "BlackNwhite wroteNot bang on at all. Lee was offered a very good deal by Rovers and would have been an integral part of the team on a 2 year contract and was on the verge of signing it. The only reason he spoke to them was when Hull only offered him a 1 year contract. Hull then extended his offer to two years on similar terms at the last minute so he stayed.
So your once again speaking %£*! that you know nothing about and just pretend to be in the know.'"
don't doubt all of that apart from him being an integral part of rovers team he would have been a rotation prop at best really, vella, clinton, watts, lovegrove would have all been first choice at prop next year before radford and galea and newton would have been first choice in the 2nd row. I don't think he ever really wanted to leave and has got what he wants really a 2 year deal and a fair chance of a starting place, every body is happy imho

| Can't say that I'm impressed at all with Radford's re-signing but will it make all the difference to Fielden ?
Now that might make it quite a good deal !!!

ITS ROUGH ITS TOUGH ITS RUGBY LEAGUE!!!: |

| Quote: BlackNwhite "Im not sure what radfords is on at all. People seem to have a real beef about players like radford, dowes and yak. Alot of fans seem to dismiss them as second rate forwards as the dont do what james graham does or they are not top tackle breakers. In these times of salery caps players like these are in fact a massive part of the makeup of a squad. When times are hard and yards are hard to come by these guys do stick the hard work in, making carries taking pressure off other forwards. Im happy that he has signed and a bit like tickle, gives us a stability to our team.
I know he has his faults, at times, but so do other players. People talk of the young lads learning from long, fitz and so on. I think alot of the young lads can and will learn alot from what lee does on and off the pitch.'"
Exactly.. he done enough hard, dirty work this year to warrant a contract..
Just as an example put in a last ditch tackle against bradford away!!!...
Hard worker that can take the knocks and glad still with us imo

I wasn't having a pop at the poster who said "maybe" Lee spoke with Rovers. I was having a pop at exnob who came on and basically said yes this is what happened when he knows nothing. He's an illiterate idiot.

Fair enough bud, but literacy is not literally the be all and end all of life.. could be wrong but im quite sure a certain Richard branson was written off because of this... he hasn't done bad for himself..
