Can i just ask why have Hull got rid of Hall when Sharpe is known for his defence think its a bit bizzare when Agar is obviously happy to work on one players defence techniques when not Halls do you think Halls face didn't fit...

IMO, Hall's confidence was shot in a Hull shirt and this season he passed the point of being in a fit mental state to ever be a success with us. He strikes me as a player who suffers from pressure rather than thriving on it, which is why I'm doubtful whether a Rovers move would work out any better for him. I think he'd have a better chance at a club like Cas.

Yeah you could be right bout Hall just think Hall prob just needed a bit more support, one good thing rovers are doing at the mo is at university to do with players mental state's, mind over matter or something and maybe confidence building and team building days, you just don't see Hull ever doing it the only team building iv'e seen is luaki helping Manu decorate his house and he didn't luk to impressed to me lol. Maybe it will be wakefield that he will go to they seem keen on him.

Maybe his face didn't fit...maybe it did.
Maybe Agar did work on his defence technique but maybe halls problem was he can't improve.
IMO if people liked him or not his confidence is shot to pieces and a move somewhere else may be what the lad needs.
Personally I think sharp has the ability to improve and pace to boot.
If I was to cast any doubt over sharp I would rather wait until he has at least had a chance to pull his new colours on.

Hall's been at the club for years and played 70+ times for FC's first team. Do you really, seriously, think that over that time no one has spoken to/worked with Hall on his defensive reads and technique? If he does go to Rovers, remember that Morgan has coached your defence so spectacularly that you have 4 of the competition's top 11 players for missed tackles.

Always rated Sharp whenever ive seen Harlequins and he does seem to do the basics quite well although he's perhaps not as quick as i expected in open space.

Im sure you will get more games out of Sharp in comparison to Mark Calderwood.

I think time will tell on Sharp for me, good age and shows good potential. All in all my gut feel is a good signing.

Unless Berro does go, no "big" signings this year IMO. Hopefully some more players with potential will do.

Very pleased with this signing, will offer more work rate than Calderwood. Along with Briscoe we have 2 really willing runners in our own 20 which is a massive plus.

I take it you don't agree with the comment regarding Briscoe's footwork/handling? You could always fire some examples at me to prove me otherwise? I wasn't saying I was right by the way, just that I've not seen evidence to show that he would make a better centre than the winger he currently is.

Thats really really harsh on calderwood to be fair as the lad was one of our star performers and NEVER did anything other than give 1000% when on the pitch, just very unlucky with injuries but no one can fault his effort thats for sure, ]
