| your rite i'm new to this forum, but ive been reading the stuff on it for a couple of weeks so ive got a bit of an idea what you are saying barton baird, we win , we are cotenders, we lose, the sack agar brigade pop up, im just happy to have won more than we have lost, been a misirable couple of seasons, all the teams will be in and out of form as the year goes on. 4 from 6 will do me for a start. when we won 5 from 5 at the begginig last year we never in any of those games got close to the level of performance of this years team, big games comin up so i think we will have a better idea of were we are in the SL pecking order over the next 5 or 6 games

| Quote: super sub terry day "Just another point to make to those claiming questioning Agar is a negative thing and previous seasons have not been his team.
1)Leeds won the super league x2 with a coach inheriting another coaches team
2)Warrington won the challenge cup with a coach inheriting another coaches team (albeit missed the playoffs)
3)Huddersfield made the top 3 and the CC final with a coach inheriting another coaches team
4)Saints finished 2nd and reached the GF with a coach inheriting another coaches team
Credit were it is due he took us to the CC final winning the quarters & semi's without Sharp, but that is sandwiched within one of the worst win loss % in Hull's coaching history (this includes our current 4 out of 6 run, which i may add is still a worse start than last year)
So with all due respect it is not unreasonable to question the coach's position whether it is the popular consenus or not.'"
I think the next month will show us what he's made of, one way or the other. No injuries to speak of, he has the opportunity to rotate the forwards properly (both within games and from one game to the next) with the heavy Easter season coming up soon. Some massive tests coming up, but some big opportunities also.

His rotations within the game have been fine this year - much improved from last. I would like to see Moa and possibly Burnett in next week. We had a number of forwards who played poorly tonight and they should be 'rested' as a result.

Agreed (although I would have brought O'Meley back on straight after HT tonight). Agar's rotation has been made a bit easier by the fact that he has more than 17 fit players to select from though and can choose a more standard 2 prop, 1 SR, 1 hooker/utility bench rather than some games last season having Berro, Houghton and Hodgon all in the 17 then trying to decide what to do with them.

Good point well made Mrs B.

| 6 games in and panic sets in!
we've beaten 2 of last seasons top 4 already, beaten cas who took us to the cleaners last season
tonight we was poor, very poor(apart from horne who was again great tonight for us), wigan were white hot, everything they did seem to come off, bounce of the ball fell kindly numerous times when kicks went through, 13,000 fans calling for penalties every set they had virtually and getting them, we got the backlash from their game at bradford, too many big name players went missing for us tonight
nothing is won in march,(unless you're the bbc manc rugby presenter/commentator), expecting vast improvement against the bulls, win that and the salford match, we will be back on track

| No point sacking agar now, however I think last night showed us the difference between having a coach (they all seem to be aussies unfortunately) at the cutting edge of RL thinking and tactics, and one who is still playing the game as it was 5 years ago. I hope the club owners have identified he isn't the man to take us to the next level and are actively looking for a replacement

| Agar is not the right man for the job should have never been appointed in the first place, but he cant be blamed for what happened yesterday, we came up against a much better squad of players playing on there home turf reeling from a bad result, playing in front of a big crowd and the referee was a man who can be easily influenced by the crowd when he isnt sure, was always going to happen whoever was in charge, added to that a number of stupid individual errors that others have mentioned that cant be blamed on the coach.

Not sure they are a much better squad of players. maguire just had them performing to a plan which worked to perfection. Looked like they had worked all week on our strengths and weaknesses and nullified the strengths and hammered our weaknesses.
His transformation of nobles wigan side is amazing. Imagine how good they'll be when he gets his own team
