They certainly do and think Satae looks a real handful and is doing longer stints.
Hopefully Tag isn’t too serious and he’s back soon and a real shame for Bowden as I thought he’d started to look like the player of a few seasons ago.

| Taylor damaged his Achilles a few weeks before the season started and missed the York friendly, hopefully it's not a re-occurrence.

The problem is Dave you cant play 80 minutes at that intensity every week and we dont have the bench replacements to rotate them and keep the same intensity.
Our forwards are down to bare bones now as bench players so i think we will have to use Griffin in the second row.
If we do that id like to see Vulcan given a chance on the wing and Fonua moved back to centre
I do like the sound of Speed and Swift as our wingers

I guess early next week we'll get an update on Taylor and Bowden although Brett Hodgson suggested that Bowden will be out for upwards of six weeks. Any more forwards out and we'll have to promote from the Academy. Radford's son, perhaps or Aiden Burrell has been mentioned as a good prospect.'"
When you look at the possible bench i think we have a mini crisis as Taylor,Bowden, and Masi are all fairly long term injuries.
My view is the club will look for a short term loan front row
Mao back will help a lot and we can then at least rotate Cator,Lane or Savelio

Hopefully Tag may well be wearing Sneyd’s magic boot

If Mau back, I'd put him place of Johnstone.
I'd also start Fash and have Sao or Satae on the bench'"
I fear that Jake will get a one match ban. I think they’ll find it to ban him than let him off. Connections with the head usually get a ban.
The one thing in Jake’s favour was he got sin binned, so perhaps that will be deemed sufficient punishment.

Farrell made contact with the head and it was only a penalty?

| And that's the problem no consistency with the refs, see Batemans shove in the face too which went unpunished , hull touch a players head or pat a head and all hell breaks loose with the refs, maybe we should start throwing ourselfs to the floor or being pathetic and play the refs too.

| Looking at the Taylor incident it looked quite innocuous but I thought maybe someone fell on the side of his foot in the tackle. I reckon it might be a broken bone in his foot, but fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

| In regards to Jake and a possible ban whilst I fully understand and appreciate the RFL clamping down on things if that is deemed worthy of a ban then the game really is in trouble. You see this in every single game and had Hardaker not started bleeding it would have just been a penalty. I’m not even sure if it was the contact from Jake or hardaker then catching Savelios shoulder that resulted in the nose bleed.
The yellow should be more than enough however the issue is that the RFL and the officials are making a rod for their own backs as these decisions if made have to be consistent and they aren’t week to week or even in the same game. So are we going to see any contact with the head ruled as a yellow from now on? No of course not as after 15-20 mins it’ll be down to a sevens match.
Jake was penalised for tapping Bateman on the head yet Bateman does very similar and nothing. Which ultimately makes a mockery of the game and then people wonder why fans aren’t bothering so much anymore.
You only have to look at the howlers that have been made not just by on field officials but even the VR’s so far this season, I know they are human and mistakes can happen but the % of errors so far is unacceptable for ‘professional’ officials.
If all fairness Jake it should be yellow as sufficient plus a warning on his technique.

| Trouble is, you don't what the ref may have already said to Connor (and anybody else for that matter) - next time it'll be a yellow card, for example.
