| Right from that Rovers friendly i had my doubts about that right side, still its e only its now joined by the just as e left. Tuimavave took the plaudits for being mr wonderful when he'd not really done a great deal but now is being shown up
Ive been right behind Sneyd from the start of him playing for FC but now im starting the think he isnt up to it, Pryce was great years ago with Long next to him, these days hes good for 5-10 minutes a game, Radfords mate though
So much positivity at the start of the season has just dissapeared with fans and especially the want awayers thinking about venturing back have just had their usual season wake up call - the one which pushes those fans even further away.

exactly - FC sides of the recent past would have folded at 6 - 20, and conceded 40 odd points. that comeback and close finish is something to build on.
we've lost 2 close games that could in theory both have been won on the very last play. no need to panic yet

| Quote: UllFC "I was actually regretting not renewing my pass after two promising performances, but I should have known that normal service would soon resume. Enjoy the rest of the season, all 3/4 months of it before its dead rubber by the summer and Pearson's harassing the fans for more cash.'"
It does feel a bit like 'normal service' doesn't it? It's more like the same old attitude for me. Where was the team celebration and the jumping on each other's backs and running to congratulate individual effort that we saw for the first 2 games? Did the holidays during the 2 week break stagnate the team spirit?
Agree with seb about the right side but can't agree with the dissing of Sneyd, the best player tonight, for me.
And what, exactly, is the reason for Frank's absence? [iIs[/i it injury or something else?
Team spirit has played a big part in the woeful displays of the last few seasons. My worry is we're seeing the same signs again. Pray I'm wrong.

| Quote: UllFC "Spent most of the last couple of years telling the cuddle crew on here that Radford isn't up to it, and getting constant stick for it.
Yet here we are 4 games in and already the 'nearly men' still making the same dumb mistakes, and the same baffling last tackle plays. Its a well-worn script that we all know the ending to...a mid-table finish and out of the playoffs/middle8's at the first opportunity. We now face going to an in-form Widnes team and their plastic pitch and having to pull of an unexpected win to avoid 3 defeats in a row.
The frustrating thing is we are not a bad side, I still feel we will comfortably make the Top8, but scraping in to the 8, winning the odd Derby game (against a Rovers side that have been similarly mediocre for years) and having the season over by August is far far from where this club should be given its resources, and the strength of the squad.
This season more than ever it is frustrating because Leeds & Hudds have been well off the pace, and even the other top sides such as Saints, Wigan & Warrington have been grinding out results rather than dominating games. There is more of a gap than ever for a mid-table side such as ourselves Cas and Catalan to make a step up and take a Top4 spot. Only a bit more flair, tactical ideas and less errors would see the team right up near the top of the league. We also have one of the smallest injury lists in the league at present, this is the full-strength team and its still not cutting it it in 'big' games when it matters.
Buck stops with Radford he's had 3 years with this team, has spent a massive amount of cash paying of players and bringing big money signings in...yet for me we are still not substantially better than we were under Gentle. Stick a decent coach in side of this team and narrow home defeats like the last 2 weeks become wins.
With Radford out of contract at the end of the year I can only hope that as he becomes cheaper to sack by the week Pearson sees sense. Otherwise it'll be time for Pearson to be out with the begging bowl to shift some passes for another 'new dawn' next year before we know it. Pearson needs to act now, act fast and save what could still turn out to be a good season.'"
Ha. Wettest thing I'll read all night. Some top notch drama queenery on here this eve!! Lol

It is a shoulder injury, but will be back for next match (according to Radford)

Thanks, Isaiah. Yes, I heard shoulder. I also heard leg. And arm. And attitude. Four different reasons (in the pub before the match, mind! ). So shoulder's the official line. Glad to know it's short term fix, anyways.

A yes Standee, another long-standing poster and fan who doesn't bother anymore...if you actually attended games you'd notice there's quite a lot of long-standing fans not bothering anymore.

You're an absolute prick! Great game, great performance only let down by one singular individual error. If you want more than that, go and support Barcelona you nauseating bandwaggoner!

| My feelings about Radfords suitability are known, but we are 4 games in. It's massively disappointing to lose how we have the last 2 games but we aren't out of things and we have time to make changes.
We can get back to winning ways, there's nothing to stop us from going over to Widnes and getting a result.
However much we want to give the same support Pearson has shown to Radford IF after 10 games we are not improving, that we are still losing close games then something needs to change.
In my honest opinion the quality in the team will and does get us to a certain level, however the differences between winning the close games, players not having 'brain farts', being able to deal with high stress/mentally difficult situations that ultimately wins you games is down to the coaching.
So far we've had two good wins and two dissapointing but close defeats. We don't need to hit the panic button just yet bit the signs are worrying as the mistakes have a pattern that we all recognise
