As someone who didn't see the incident as I couldn't attend tonight, can anyone explain to me what actually happened.

From the sounds of the other thread, atleast one steward was very aggressive, but I don't know much more than that.

I asked politely as I had genuinely missed it, no need to be snotty. Now feel free to discuss what happened with the stewarding.

Heremaia wanted to give a young lad his boots and an over exuberant steward decided to get above his stations, push Heremaia one way and the young lad the other. It could've seriously kicked off but it didn't and after it calmed down I had it confirmed to me by a couple of sources that we have not been held accountable.

From what I saw from the halfway up behind the sticks, [delHeremaia[/del Aaron took off his boots to give to a supporter (great gesture) and the steward was trying to get him to come away from the fans. It then got a bit heated, can't say what happened from that point as it got a bit crowded. On the other side of the stand another couple of Hull fans got into another altercation with a different set of stewards (not seen any mention of that on here yet).

They were a bunch of that word I'm not allowed to use actually.

Heremaia gives boots to a kid, kid drops one, old fella reaches over to grab the boot, gets filled in by meathead bouncer stewards, scuffle. There we go.

Won't dwell too much on the performance by the team tonight
At least we managed to get over the tryline
Not that is was any consolation to be honest
Kicking game was poor for much of the evening
Yet we still finished within a shout if a couple of things had gone differently
Really enjoyed the atmosphere tonight
Exceptional support for the team
That should not have happened at the end though
And I hope the the appropriate action is taken
Right now, it is time close the book on this season
Don't look back anger at this year, some good things have happened.

The "bouncers" at Warrington are a subcontract security firm distinction from the Warrington stewards and are there for "security" purposes instead of having a large police presence. By definition they are employed to do the heavy handed stuff. Cant/not going to comment on what happened afterwards BUT what I do know is that if a Hull player had approached the crowd (even to pass on his boots to somebody) then the stewards will have instructions to stop them. The stewards would have taken the boots and passed them on for the player. There is an exclusion zone around the pitch which club players and officials know not to go into. If the police were there then the incident will be looked into by Warrington.

Those of you that saw the incident(s) need to report it to the police. From what i have read on here and twitter it sounds as though the steward assaulted Aaron and the supporter which could have incited a serious incident. Pointless moaning on here or to Wire and the RFL. Maybe Karen and FC Voices could assist to coordinate. It has to be done quickly as it will possibly need CCTV before its lost.

I know the young lads who Aaron gave the boots too as they stank the minibus out on the way home, nice souvenir for the young lads which was appreciated.

It all erupted from there with what was quite clear heavy handed tactics by the bouncers (they weren't stewards one iota) a tall, skin head and tattoed (look at me) bouncer came over giving big I am with hull fans and knocked one hull fan over (grey hair) and punches thrown from some bouncers as well as hull fans which just made things worse and resulted in more altercations. Some bouncers were clearly foaming at the mouth ready for a bit more which amazed me. Police didn't offer much assistance to what was blatant heavy tactics from the bouncers apart from directing hull fans to the exit, could understand it if it was the other way round. Not sure what went on to the right hand side were there was issues but it spoiled a good day. Slightly concerned for next years fixture.

warrington is the sphincter of cheshire, what do you expect? Well remember many problems at wilderspool and, although not as bad, the HJ is far from problem free

I`ll tell you what we should with next years fixture. DON`T GO. Its that simple and when the Warrington club see three thousand fans missing then they might start to question their own policies regarding the stewarding of away fans.

I'll just add to that, one small security guy,was inciting our fans, blowing kisses, gesticulating with his hands to 'come on' - disgraceful.
