Willie wouldn't make my all time XIII (back row Lee Crookes Johnny Whiteley and Knocker) but he'd be fighting for a place on the bench with Mick Crane/Bill Drake/Steven Kearney.
Sorry to see him go but looking forward to 2012.

Kearney was no where near as good as Manu has been for us. Yes Kearney was only here a short time and not the same style as Manu. But Manu has been the better player.

He's been one of our best players since he joined the club and has been great to watch.
However, we've been too reliant upon him to create things out of nothing for us. Hopefully his exit will cause the other players around him to be a bit more adventurous.

Seemed a bit emotional at the end did Manu, gonna miss the guy as he has being our best player for the last 4 seasons.
Good luck to him and hope he can finally get some silverware at Saints (only if we don't win it obviously!)

No where near a legend for me...been a privelage to see him in a FC shirt and has had some barnstorming runs but he had chosen to leg it to a team of chokers and this may now be more beneficial to the team as next year we will have to re-style our play...bye bye willie.
On another note...Turner...you wont be missed at all..young Crooks showed more bravery in scoring his try than you ever have done. |
