So we got what we deserved, but you'll still throw in a list of excuses. Hopefully, if the Rovers game goes as it looks like it might, Agar will get what [ihe[/i deserves immediately afterwards.

TBH I don't read any of that as offering excuses. We did miss organisation, not having Westerman for half the game and Manu for all of it did decrease our strike, and we did lose some rotation through injuries. These are facts. Given that he says that we could/should have won anyway, how are these excuses?
It's just another example of him perfectly analysing the reasons for our failure without being able to do anything to correct them.

How I see it too. He often gets slated for excuses but often he is spot on with what he has said. The problem is he knows what is going wrong but can do f**kall about it!

He's at least trying to mitigate, I reckon. All teams have problems with injuries and losing players during the game (see Leeds at the KC), but it's what you do about it that matters. Saints have been without both of their first choice half backs for most/all of the season, and yet they're still winning games.

He will. We're going to train the house down this week.

Without knowing what he was asked or the context of his quotes I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion. Particularly when he states right at the top that we deserved to lose and contrasts it with other games where we lost but he thought we deserved to win.
Other sides deal better with injuries because they have more squad depth and better coaches. Simples.

I see you point, but it's not like the club doesn't have a history of making excuses for our underachievement. If you take this one case in isolation, I maybe don't have any right to jump to that conclusion, but as part of a longer pattern, you can see why I might get to thinking that way.

Now I would have respected him if he'd said that!

I posted this on another thread, but Potter's comments following the Bull's thrashing at Salford make an interesting contrast...
Quote: Rock God X "“It’s my job to get them to reach their potential. That’s my responsibility.
“It’s a fault. I have to get the best out of them and they weren’t at their best against Salford."'"
Quote: Rock God X "“We didn’t build enough pressure. We had enough ball to build pressure but some of our options were poor.
“I need to rectify that. Maybe I give a little bit too much credit sometimes to some people. I need to take the responsibility and make sure they adhere to what I want them to do. It’s my problem to rectify that.” '"
Similar reasons for failure but a much more personal acceptance of responsibility. The key point being that if the players are constantly making the same mistakes it's the coach's job to fix it.

Instead we get garbage like:
""We was just not at the races, I have to take responsibility for that, I told the lads to leave everything on the island and they didn't. some poor pass selections cost us and we needs to raise us bar, not a lot went for us and I think the referee was a little one sided, it's going well in training 'appen"
(you can construct the excuse for the next defeat from that)

Maybe Bradford have a CEO/BOD who [ido[/i believe that a coach is important?
