I understand they are going to make the a discision at pre season training camp in wales,so at a guess 12th jan would be about right to make an announcement.

They are going to have one big game of british bulldog at the training camp and the winner gets to be captain.

Fitz all the way , anyone who saw last year knows that Radford is a tackling machine and very good at it .. but motivator behind the sticks or club media rep erm no!!
anyone in doubt should take a look at June on the club calendar...... says it all

Radders is one of the most professional players in SL and will accept whatever decision is made. FWIW Radford does do the charitible local work etc and spend time with the younger players to give them advice etc which has been highlighted as a good thing that Fitz brings.
I still find it really funny that Radders has been named at 13 but playing as a 3rd prop for the last year or so and gets the stick that he does. The stick for his performances as well as FC having 2 really poor years have suddenly made him the worst captain and worst player in FCs history. I think context needs to be put around the job that Radders has done, both on and off the pitch.

I like Radford and, as you do, think he has come in for some unfair flakk. However, I believe, from what I have seen since he has been captain, we have had a lack of motivational leadership on the park - sometimes, quietly leading by example is not enough. I believe Fitz is not only the best man available to us but that he is one of the best leaders on an RL pitch in the world: I don't believe Radders is rubbish just that Fitz is better. |

I agree entirely. I do also think that from a motivational leader on the pitch perspective it shouldnt just be the captain that does this, where have all the other senior players been that are meant to lead by example? Since Cooke, Kearney and Swain went we've not really had that big presence imo.
