No wonder we are miles behind in the international game.'"
You only have to look at who the internationcal coahces are to see why we are behind, Smith is even more out of his depth than Agar.

I agree, sure the lad will have gained some valuable experience though.

Indeed, he'll know to shout at the people around him if they aren't pulling their weight, could be a blessing that he isn't playing, gives Bridge chance to have his England farewell!

he's far from being the finished article........he's got plenty of time ahead of him and i think he should be concentrating on being an automatic selection for Hull first.........he's certainly one for the future.

Yeah I agree Kosh, It is a shame but the three of them didnt get their act together last week so I suppose the decision to change them all is about right.
Still think they will be far too strong for us though !!!

| Not too fussed by Briscoe's omission (he doesn't play for Wire either so had no chance) and am looking forward to the Eastmond/Tomkins duo, which may be brilliant but may do nothing. But I fully expect a battering from the Kiwis based on that side.

Absolutely 110% correct, he has had a good run and should feel proud of himself as he did absolutely nothing wrong in the games played so far but was left high and dry by his centre whom the Aussies ran through now the wing!!
As for Mcquire I have to say that he is as much a surprise in the squad to me as Bridge was, he hasnt played a decent game for his country in umpteenth caps , Glad to see the young lad from Saints get a run, I belive this young fella with Tompkins could well be our future and tons of skill & speed between em to boot

| I would have had Carvell in for Westwood allowing Burgess to play back row where he can do more damage.

Bridge can't possibly be as bad as Smith was last week - the Wire fans were giving him big raps during the second half of the season and he was playing centre then. And with McGuire missing that whole side should be better defensively. Plus they won't be facing Inglis, which is a bonus.
Don't think Fox will bring anything that Briscoe didn't so I guess that's just Smith giving another option a spin out to see what happens.
My main concern is Peacock in the second row again. That really didn't work last week either going forward or in defence, so feck knows why we're sticking with it.
