Do we really need him? Are ya joking? I think we do REALLY need him, along with a few top signing, one of which is Ellis and a big hitting Prop. Along with some young British players and getting some good strength in depth and we will be competing for top 4 next year.

that is what makes the whole thing a farce imo, if he can stay in the country how can they restrict who his employer is?

| Quote: Standee "it sets no precedent at all, Chase has a [icriminal record[/i not a disciplinary offence whilst serving in the military, also note the use of the word "discretionary leave to remain" that is not the same as being given a working visa as a sportsperson, this guys is asking for citizenship, they have also given him "leave to remain" as he is appealing against his discplinary, when that outcome is known UKBA may change their decision and kick him out.'"
I doubt UKBA will deport this guy,this guy has now UK dependants(Children), no government has a legal right to split a father from his children. - this would go to the Court of Human Rights.
This is where Chase is in a similar situation, since his visa was issued,he has become a parent of a UK citizen.
IF Chase was refused a new visa,he could challenge through the Court of Human Rights,a lengthy process.
Depending on the time frame set by AP, I feel we will cancel the deal, but Chase will get a visa-eventually.

Not if you can find an equally creative halfback who is available this year?

You do know how often we deport illegal immigrants that have fathered children, right? Of course the Government can deport him if he isn't eligible to remain. Court of Human rights would not even hear the case.

| I've said for a while now I don't think Chase will come, such a shame as he would have been a huge part of AP's plans. Struggling to see which two halves will come.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

Depends if their children are British citizens, the EU human rights bill has been used to successfully keep illegal immigrants and foreign criminals here based on their dependants, happens all the time.
Of course people have also been deported, but given the quality of the legal team he can afford, the minor nature of his conviction and his community contribution during his time in the UK I'd be amazed if Chase got deported.

It's easy to deport people about whom the government has serious misgivings. With that in mind, I wonder if we could get a visa for Abu Hamza. He'd add a bit of biff to the proceedings (they might have to put a plaster on his hook for safety).

That's the European Convention on Human Rights. It has nothing to do with the EU and is not a bill.
