Cartwright giving an on the fence 'we might loan some more players but I want to look at what we have in the squad' response to Hull Live.
I think we do have to give the likes of Laidlaw, Jebson etc a game or two and give them one last chance otherwise it's demoralising. Also unless we're getting a long term target early like Pryce you can risk just signing castoffs nobody else wants mid season.
I think Jebsons done. Think it speaks volumes that he's not even making a 21 man squad despite our lack of second rowers with Kirby included over him most weeks. Barely been mentioned all year and OOC unfortunately for him. Be amazed if he's here next season. Think Gardiner and laidlaw will also be leaving. Scott Taylor was at the reserves game on Friday night "Scouting" so wouldn't be surprised to see them at Goole. I thought Jensen looked promising last season but get ur point on his absence in our back row crisis. We may be bebuilding him up to it for lesser games. Who knows. Laidlaw looks strong but not big enough for a prop. Hope Ashworth is signed up just makes sense. Confirmed this evening Jebsons gone to Goole for the rest of the year. Usual recall option after 2 weeks, but the club "wish him well for the remainder of the season". |

No way I'd pay 200k plus for a winger in SL.
My favourite ever Hull winger in 1949 transferred to Leeds for a then world record fee of 4,750 quid. So sad I cried myself to sleep! |

Not sure on that. The rumour came out, and then 2 days later he was on Instagram driving to Hull with Sam Eseh - so unsure |

Read somewhere from a Leigh fan suggesting signing Lewis Dodd, he can't get much gametime in the first team.
Could he come back, maybe, but is on over 300k (UK) a season. On a 3 year deal, unless Souths pay 50% of that salary a season he won't be coming back. Shows the different in salaries and is a real threat to SL.
