I wouldn't get to giddy about the NRL taking over SL . We all know which direction the quality players will be travelling and it wont be to UK . We'd just be another feeder comp for them .
Plus we'd have to revert back our season to winter which is another reason Aussies wont be hurrying to board any plane soon. .

The talent pool in oz means alot dont get took over, i dont think much would change in that respect.

I do think the old clique problems that exists could evaporate with an nrl takeover, we d benefit from common sense rules and alot better marketing.

Matty John's mentioned nrl buying sl on a podcast and he said they should change our season to winter so that players can do what they did in the 80s and go play a few games either over there like Offiah and Hanley or like Sterlo here. Bryan Fletcher kinda poured water on it by stating that you sides ain't gonna let their great players come to the UK and play in the winter, no way

RFL/SL and clubs are supposed to be monitoring the amount of minutes players are playing within a season .
If this is going to be the new directive then playing back to back seasons here and in Aus like the old days wont happen unless players play half a season in each .

with all the wage cuts (500k) below cap, season pass sales, record break sponserships, big merchandise sales, and corperate income , surely surely the fans are rewarded with some good investment and marquee signings for next season
