Why is Standee still banned?

sorry i find it hard to believe that you can judge the level of noise from the east stand reserved from the south stand














where we sit there is plenty of noise! but keep telling yourself there isnt!

if you had your way and moved all the reserved to the west stand you would be lucky to have 2000 fans in the whole east stand! wow that would be a great atmosphere!!

Well it's quite easy, I can hear chav corner, but can never hear the middle section, given the middle section is closer to where I sit I reckon I should be able to hear you lot as well, shouldn't I? Btw, 10 people can sound loud if you're in the middle of it or sat right next to it.

Yes, because absolutely everybody would move, wouldn't they? Plus more fans would be drawn to the area because of the increased atmosphere.

For the atmosphere I'm not just blaming the East stand, where I sit in the South is terrible too. The whole stadium is quiet a lot of the time, I'm simply suggesting a way to address the issue. As I said, plenty who are reserved ticket holders agree with me.

By making more areas unreserved you will be further restricting capacity. I dont think we should go down that road, do you?

Unless you really want the club not able to sell tickets and fill the stadium.....

Are areas being kept unreserved as a cost efficiency exercise? eg, not having to print tickets for every seat for every game when many will be unoccupied?.

Is this the case for the Derby game as well?

Any idea how much it would cost to have reserved seating for the full stadium?

We're never going to sell out 24k are we, so that's hardly a relevant argument.

Surely tickets are printed after purchase, not before.

Problem is, apart from two or three on here not many disagree with me regarding the East stand, that's the point.

The point that you seemed to have missed is that we have [iboth[/i reserved and unreserved. The club for some people, can't do wrong for doing right at trying to appease everyone. I could understand your argument if we had just one or another which inconvenienced the majority of fans, but we don't and I believe the majority are quite happy with the way things are.

What's that got to do with anything? My idea, which is something people agree with, even The Brother himself who you mentioned earlier, is for the East stand to become fully unreserved in an attempt to increase the atmosphere at home games. I understand this will inconvenience a few, but something has to be done, the atmosphere at games is terrible at times.

It has to do with alienating a few thousands fans just so you can create an atmosphere. I don't see what reserved/unreserved has to do with atmosphere?? You get groups of people who sit together in reserved and unreserved who generate songs/chants etc. I don't see whether these groups sit on the edges or in the middle has to do with anything??? And surely, once a song or chant gets going the whole stadium (or at very least the stand) joins in?
