| Whiting doesn't need to be going anywhere soon. He had a poor game yesterday and every pro player will have several during their career. Whiting is a valuable asset in the Hull team and lets not forget because when has the lad had an opportunity to make a position in the team his. He is not a fullback, he was there to cover for an injured player. Possibly next week (because in injury, suspension or alien kidnap) he could have to play at wing, centre, looseman, stand off, second row or fullback again. Give him a break FFS!

| Anyone else getting bored by Standee's constant provocative and negative posts? All you need to do is see "Standee" in the author box and you know what it's going to say already.

| Richard Horne was involved in three of four trys, wake up Standee you are an idiot. Whiting had a poor game made three big errors but he will bounce back but not a fullback I'm afraid. Briscoe wasn't at fault for the high kicks your full back should take control.

Indeed, Horne did get himself a bit more involved after I had posted, Whiting is not at the level we need to be serious contenders, we should have beaten St's fairly comfortably in my opinion.

Whiting has a place in the team because of his ability to play at several positions, he is what I would call a 'jack of all trades, master of none'. Rich is a utility player and plays wherever needed to cover injury. I think you have over reacted Standee with your OP and Saints only get beat comfortably when they rest players before a big game. Saints are class with or without injuries and their club culture is a lesson to all.

| Whiting is never a starting full back or centre or winger at super league level because of his alarming lack of pace, what he is,is a utility player, who usually does a decent job for you.
As for Horne,I thought he had a really good game yesterday,as he did at Warrington.

Possibly I overreacted, but I still think that game was there for the taking, even with Ganson being in idiot mode.

At one point I also thought that the game was there for the taking, but when Saints decided that enough was enough I soon realised that a draw was a fair result, however I agree 100% about Ganson. That man is a liability and should never be allowed to Ref a Saints game as he has openly admitted in the past that he is a Saints supporter/fan. If I had Ref'd the game Hull would have won 64 nil and 8 Saints players would have been sent off for been to good or to ugly.

we just couldn't get the ball in the second half, either Saints tactics or our poor execution, 50/50, I'll watch it again tonight.

| Whiting had a poor second half. First half from him was pretty sound. He misjudged a kick in the swirling conditions and that seemed to affect everything he did afterwards. Really unlike him. As for Sharp have been critical of him but he had a good game and just made one mistake. You would have thought that someone would have noticed he was standing in the wrong position though and told him to get back , it's not like we're short of experience.

I've watched the game twice now for the entertainment value. Its a cracking game and all 34 players deserve some credit. Whiting did make some silly mistakes as did Tommy Briscoe and Will Sharp. It was intense and maybe nerves played a part but all will hopefully be better players for it. Ganson did his upmost to spoil a great game and just for Rich Agar who can't say this then I will " Ganson who are a rubbish Ref and you smell".

The one thing I think is pathetic is how much ofa scapegoat he is. His runs from dummy half yesterday were fantastic, he often beats his first man and his mistake from the kick off was his only one.
It annoys me that when he makes a good run or defends well, like his kick into touch when he was left exposed 3 on 1 (yet again) in the first half, fans are apprehensive of applauding him. If Briscoe did some of the plays Sharp did yesterday people would have been clapping till their hands went sore.

| This is one of the most ridiculous posts I've ever seen. Wilkin is a great footballer and used the conditions to maximum effect yesterday, they made an error or two in the first half we made some in the second half. Their kicking game like all other SL sides is better than ours. The kick down the touch line (Meli?) was a superb kick, what was Whiting to do exactly? His performance in the first half and at wire last week was first class, even Wire fans were commenting on it.
No one is having a go at Yeamo for just standing there, just before the hooter rather than playing to the whistle. That to me is far worse judgement.

I disagree, this year most will not be blaming Sharp
The blame to date has been quite rightly with the coach...I certainly do not blame Sharp or any individual players for yesterdays performance, which for the record I was pleased with, however I have seen nothing of Sharp yet that makes me feel he is any better than Hally...in fact I rate Hally higher and I think he is very, very average!

you know that saying"its one thing being a tit and then its another opening your mouth and proving the point to everyone
Whiting is possibly our most consistent performer and Horne had a very good game and run his blood to water trying to get us moving...
