Fact of teh matter is there have been LOTS of players availiable but we are always very late in siging players and miss the boat, yes we could not have forseen Berrigan going (or could we?) but in all honesty since Crockers non arrival i bet we have been miles short of the cap.
Berro and Tansey must have been on £200k between them, I'd say Phelps is a £70k player and Obst is a £50k player, so Hull, what are you going to do?
I ask again how come Gary H negotiated Berros release?

According to many on here Berrigan never made much impact because he was too good for the players around him. Maybe Obst is sufficiently inferior that he can make an impact.

| I don't know what to really make of the signing.
A bit underwhelmed but at least its another body who can cover in the half backs. Will just have to wait and see what happens.

| Quote: Lupset_Airport "Poor signing imo. For Wakefield he might offer a decent 10 mins per game, the rest of the time he hobbles about or you just don't notice him. He's similar to Ben Jeffries, he just looks fed up or disinterested all the time. He can still do a stint in defence though.'"
Wouldn't you if you played for Wakey?

| Obst would only have signed for a two-year deal, he would have seen his deal out at Wakey otherwise.
He will be a good signing for you. 100% every week and offers something different to what you already have. A much better hooker than half though. We'll miss him at Wakey, been a great servant for us.

People don't want to pay to over £20 a home game to get little return on there investment. Which is understandable IMO. We have being patient since Cooke left, since then they has being three full seasons of Rugby and we have sat and watched other teams go by us.
