Didn't realise Tansey had signed another deal. Looks like he's had a very good season from what I've seen. I'll be interested to see how he goes now with the security of a 2-year deal, as he's shown signs of being a bit of a 'Paul King' and only seeming to maintain his form and/or discipline when he's got a contract to earn.

Agree, top quality if they've pulled that off. Players of his level seemed to be off the menu for SL for the foreseeable future.

I think that the current situation in exchange rate etc. could be a good thing. Some Aussie players still want to come to the UK for the life experience. So while the numbers making the switch will/is shrink/ing the ones that come will be those that genuinely want to.

That will happen, I suppose. Wouldn't bank on it making much difference for us and a few others, though. Catalan, London, and the clubs near Manchester will probably get first dibs.

He was going to retire last year but stayed on for this season if I remember correctly? Greenshields has been standing in for him quite a lot and ha done pretty well after a shaky start. He is a bit risky to say the least, especially on our heavy pitches early season. Wouldn't swap him for even McDonell on the injury front, fantastic player when going well though.
