Are you joking or what, myler got to be best support player in super league, maybe only 2nd to McGuire, we are crying out for someone like him in our side, pace to burn

We are crying out for someone to create something out of nothing & be a game breaker, or someone to lead us around the park. Myler is neither of those.
Our new full back can be the support player we need.

I agree he's a great support player. I've made a similar comparison myself, as I think Myler is little more than a poor man's Danny McGuire. The thing is, what else exactly does he have to his game? Halfbacks need more than just that, I'd say he offers no more than a good fullback should, but again has too much missing to be any good in that position either.

McKinnon scored 4 in 10, and Horne has 2 from 2, so yes, not a bad return. Horne is actually a great example of a player with a very good support game but doesn't have enough else to play in the halves any more. The fact that we are moving him away from the halves speaks volumes and should show exactly why Myler wouldn't be the answer to our problems.

Myler 86 try's in 103 games, 5 try's in 2 games for England, when was the last time we had anyone like that, I just can't see how myler would be a poor signing, can't wait to hear your reaction to the players we have signed when announced sept 4th!! I'm cringing for you now

If we could sign a flashy 6 like Chase then Myler would be a good signing (and would fit into Pearson's 'young, English, international').
However, I doubt it will happen. He rejected us 3 times in the past, partially due to the distance, and I don't get why he's wish to leave Warrington.

It's 6 from 12 games. And I believe I said it wasn't bad, not that it was anything special.

What I'm saying is that I'd be pleased with a fullback or 3/4 with Myler's strike rate, but it's not good enough on it's own to justify him as a halfback when he has little else to his game. I'd rather have someone who can make gaps and also put other players through them, not just someone who is good at following people around to poach the end pass. If I had a dream situation of being able to pick any 2 players from SL to play in the halves for us next season (including us), I honestly don't think he would make my first 20 preferences.
