We needed to beat Widnes at home and required Rovers to win at Leigh. We won but so did Leigh.



IIRC our game finished some time before the Leigh game and many fans stayed at The Boulevard to hear the score from Leigh.



Cost us the double that season.

Some people want to win today only to lose tomorrow, others would rather lose today and win tomorrow.

Agar will be fired on 15th July after the Leeds Rhino's game. This is 100% true because when I was window cleaning the Hetherington's household I heard Gary say, "Love, sack that clown after you play us again so we can get another 2 easy points!"

I vaguely remember about 14/15 years ago Leeds United were playing Arsenal at home . Leeds were in 4th spot and it was the final game of the season . Win , lose , or draw we were finishing in 4th . Arsenal required a single point out of the game to finish top . A lot of us were debating about wether it mattered if we lost that evening . A loss or a draw would have meant Arsenal pipping Scumchester to the title . We won ( 2-1 iirc) that night , and Scum won the title . Very mixed emotions , but ATEOTD a win is a win . The noise at Elland Road was deafening at the final whistle . I wanted a draw . The win was double-edged . No way would I have wanted us to lose though . I can't understand how any fan could want their team to lose .

And some want us to win today AND tomorrow.

I can`t understand this wanting to lose mentality,(although everyone is entitled to an opinion before I get slated.)

O.K. we win and Agar stays with us,surely this is better than losing all the time??

Think it's the way we win lose or draw that does people's heads in.

No argument there mate,but even so a scrappy win is better than no win at all.

ive supported hull fc for 45 years and never once have i wanted them to lose a game.any so called fan who does is not a true fan.

No one really wants us to lose, some just see it as a means to an end. Personally, I'd rather agar proved himself to be a decent coach and went the rest of the season unbeaten

No, but last year we was in the top 4 until the last game, people still moaned.

Unfortunately the season lasts 27 games and not 26. We finished 6th and as we didn't win a play off game it might have well have been 8th.
