Thanks for your honesty, your lot are undoubtedly Hull's top dogs now it just frustrates me that we don't even try to compete, it's obvious to anyone that Agar is as bright as a 40w bulb. You deserve to laugh at us all you can, but gladly some of you can empathise with what it must feel like to have such an utter buffoon running your club. It's particularly sad that our esteemed board and closer to home some of our 'knowledgeable' moderators and posters on here try to pretend otherwise in selfish efforts to save face due to what they have said over the course of the season.

The 11 year rule on salary cap is not "50%". It is a reduction of £50,000 per club regardless of the number of players who qualify.

From next season Yeaman comes under this rule.

Release him now and we still get to pay his wages which will also still count on the cap. Not clever business really, is it?

I'd be quite surprised if we offered him a new deal at the end of next season unless he has an absolute stormer next year.

for me this situation is summed up by the following question, how many players in our squad would get into other teams like saints, wigan, wire, leeds, kr or hudds i.e the teams we want to be competing with? O'meley, Houghton, Briscoe, and possibly Manu and Fitz, to sumise, we are a very average team ...at best and in honesty i believe we've over achieved this season by finishing 6th. So long as we keep signing players like radford for 2 years and Yeaman for 3 we'll never move on. I fear the same will happen with Horne next year when his contract his up, great guy and a loyal servant but if we want to move on the club have to show a ruthless streak.

I would take Manu , Briscoe (must travel down under ) , Houghton . That's it nobody else . For me a lot boils down to recruitment and HFC should be looking at imports who are of similar standard to previous excellent ones e.g Kearney and Swain .
Assuming Long has one more year left in him then either you recruit a young lad from the academy or start looking for an experienced number 7 quick.

I heard recently that Longy has an option for a third season, linked to appearances.

He expects it to be activated.
