I have criticized him a few times this season his performance's especially away at Leeds were not up to standard, that said he is on his day a valuable squad/team member.

Shall we go back to 2005 then when he played every game? Or the start of 2009 when he was excellent in the first few games after he did that personal fitness thing? Last season the pack was really weak with Carvellgate, Crocker not coming, Cusack, King, Thackray all injured on and off. Dowes played too many minutes and we're seeing a better player as a result of more rotation options and O'Meley and Moa in good form. FWIW I think there are priorities ahead of Dowes and Radford. In a straight choice though I'd have Dowes.

Completely agree Mrs B.
I'd be happy to see Dowes get a two year deal.

Depends who else we could get for Radford's salary IMO. In his favour, he's a pretty good tackler (penalties apart) and can play front or second row. On the downside he offers not a lot going forward, and seems to be blowing after about 5 minutes.

I agree, he still does a good job for us!! His problem was that he was never a leader/motivator....

Are you sure? Most seem to be of the opinion that he has been "poor/average" for the last 2 years.

Think it's unfair to pick on any one player for last season.
I also think that Dowes started last season like a train and has played well this season. I know I'm stating the obvious when I say he is a workhorse prop (and a good one at that) but I will anyway. Not everyone can be a Jamie Peacock, James Graham, Fozzard (in his day), O'Meley etc.

I'm not picking on him for last season. I'm been critical of him performance wise. I'm not blaming him for the poor season.
I've been equally critical of a number of players.

Yes - he did that personal fitness training for a bit and was very good for the first few games when he was spelled a bit more. Then as the injuries racked up he had to play 60+ every week.
