| The debate at to whether we play Whiting or Washy at 13 is irrelevant...Agar will play Radders at 13!!!
I'd love to see Whiting at 13 but if he was going to play there surely Agar would have given him a run out last season?
As has been mentioned Washy (a bit like Horne) appears to have stagnated a little (mainly due to injuries i guess) both of them could do to hit the ground running next year.

We are comparing two very different players. To my mind, Washy is a second rower - similar to Wilkin - and Whiting is a creative, ball playing loose, the extra pivot we've been missing. It depends what you want from a 13, I suppose. If you want an extra second rower at 13, then, I'd agree, Washy is probably a better option.'"
whiting reminds me of a young ellis, i really think 2nd row could be his position.

Don't know what the people who think he hasn't got the workrate to play loose would make of that statement!

For what it's worth, I reckon he could have the workrate. It's impossible for anyone to say either way until they've seen him play there. Either at 13 or 11/12.
All those saying he doesn't have the workrate must be basing it on the fact that he makes fewer tackles at centre or full back than Washy does at 13. Which is a little silly.

People are giving their opinions that's all. The last 4/5 Hull coaches all have decided against picking him at 13 so maybe that tells us something?
I am not sure he is built to play in the pack and think the extra workrate may tire him out in terms of his attacking play but nobody knows for certain as he has not played there for an extended period and is probably not likely to in the near future with the options we have there.

| Quote PAUL M="PAUL M"It's a no brainer for me, Washy should play 13. I liken him to Sinfield at a similar age. He does have the ability to out in the workrate but is also a clever player and has good hands and a decent kicking game. He is also a leader amongst some of the younger players and imo is captaincy material.
Whiting should have had a go in that position last season but the problem I have with him there is whether or not he could cope with the amount of work he would have to put in. Personally I think it would be tough for him.'"
Spot on.

hopefully we've realised hes wasted on the bench.'"
Should be starting. Fitz and Manu/Laukai in the 2nd row.

Its an option definately. But i'm starting to think that i'd use Moa, O'Meley, Cusack and Dowes as the props and rotate Lauaki and Manu for a 2nd row spot, with Fitz playing 80 in the other 2nd row spot.

We can have all the options we want with regards players positions, the simple fact is we have Richard Agar , a man who over the last season and a half has proved that he is not SL/NL coach material, in fact I'd say he'd be lucky to get a job as heach coach of an under 8's rl team, he is that poor. and before people jump down my throat for having a go, why don't you all make a list of the things he done right as a coach in the last season and a half, and all the things he's got wrong, and I'll bet you you'll struggle to the positives to outweigh the negatives. But don't worry, it's the sheep mentality, lead by Wolfie, saying everything will be alright on the night.
