Quote westjba="westjba"i saw this idiot outside west park, he was actually sniffing the gas, then he tried to set fire to the phonebox, scruffy tool, old hull shirt on with barnett on the back?? was thinking to myself, what must visiting fans think when they see idiots like this?? if i had known what this t0$$a was leading up to, id have took the gas and rammed it down his scruffy throat!! my daughter whos 5 is disabled, and she really want to go to the KC to watch rugby, no idiot would say out to her, but tbh, i must miss everything, because i have never witnessed anything like been mentioned!!!'"
That sounds like him, he was as high as a kite and had a captive audience sadly as we were in standing traffic on the flyover.

I think as it turned out that the best thing happened, he was detained by my hubby until the Police arrived which was quickly, he is a big lad the hubby, 6 ft and 15 stone but sometimes to brave for his own good but we both love the game of RL too much to let this idiot get away. Nobody else should end up in trouble because of this guy though, he was dealt with the best way to be honest.
As for the statement I made about the atmosphere being worse that at the FC v Rovers derby games I've attended at a neutral observer, it really felt that way. Was it because we were closer than usual to that corner I'm not sure but it was awful. I wish I had used my recorder as I sometimes do, you could have heard what we were hearing first hand. I also feel so sad regarding the gentleman mocked due to his disability, he was one of your own which muct in some ways have hurt him more, I hope it does not put him off attending the games of the Club he loves, it was just unfortunate that he was where he was but the reaction of the true FC fans on here should help him realise that it is only a minority who behave like this.
The problem now for FC as a Club is that policing does not come cheap and I know that a lot is paid for that already and unfortunately the incident for us took place on the only road out of Hull for most away fans, the flyover and its been a flashpoint before. Maybe that needs to have a bobby or two just wandering up and down until the traffic clears of away fans or the only other solution might be to held away fans back until they have a clean run out of Hull, the problem there is that people don't want to be held in the ground they want to get away. That's a tough problem, what we as Bulls fans will do is make sure we are parked together in future at the KC, if we have to book parking months in advance, and leave together. The SMC have been great but FC as a club also need to look and think about how this can be avoided in future, it will probably involve more costs though which is the last thing Clubs need.
It's just upsetting to me as I know so many FC fans who are mortified as is shown on this thread about the incidents mentioned, we know its a rarity that physical violence erupts sadly the 'Chav Corner' is another matter altogether. Many thanks to those that have mailed me I will be putting your comments together and sending them to the SMC and thanks.
Gill.
