| Quote Big Dave T="Big Dave T"Starting FB at roosters, guess that answers the 'Motu extension' or 'Horne to FB' arguements then.
Great signing for FC. (and he's under 25)
'"
Very good signing. Cant wait to see him running from FB off Horne and Long!...add forwards like Lauaki and Manu as well, i can see our attacking play improving dramatically next year!...

| Quote DORIAN J ASQUITH="DORIAN J ASQUITH"good signing; young versatile and by all acounts been playing very well for the Roosters at full back
Do you think he has been signed to play full back ?
I would say yes althogh he did play at centre for leeds'"
Not a centre. For Leeds he played fullback, halfback and hooker mainly.

| Quote Standee="Standee"Probably both, Motu hasn't made any noises about staying or going as yet (although he's been injured so it's understandable), we cannot keep Thorman under any circumstances!'"
Motu would stay if he is offered a contract, but there has been no discussions either way with the club so far.
I would be happy for the club to part ways with G Horne, P King and even Whiting in order to keep Motu.
I would also keep Tommy Lee, as I feel the signing of Long gives us the chance to return Lee to scrum half after he has had two years experience training day in day out with Sean Long.

| Quote PAUL M="PAUL M"If he is signed to replace Tony then I am disappointed as I think he can be a bit of a liability at fullback. If we are signing him as our utility player then he is a good signing as he can cover al of the back positions and hooker. Hopefull he has signed as the utility player and that should mean no room for Thorman as Tansey will cover 6 & 7 but I fear this will be the end of Tony which is disappointing.
He is a pretty skillful player and has a decent kicking game so it's nice to have a footballer coming in.'"
Paul, you should get yourself Setanta. Watched him play the other week at full back. Played the whole game and looked solid & fast. If you didn't know, you would have thought he was an aussie.
Was very impressed with what I saw. So, for me he is a great signing. Could be the end for Motu.

Been told the same. Looks like a great move by Hull.

Admittedly I have not seen him play this season so I can only judge him at fulback from what I saw of him at Leeds.

| Quote Staffs FC="Staffs FC"Indeed. Think Agar will be our coach next year regardless of what happens this.'"
Think that's all but certain given recent statements from Rule and the way recruitment has been undertaken. Let's hope he can step up a level or two when he has his 'own' team.
Or maybe the main problem has been the players after all and that's now being rectified...

Cusack:
- plays lots of minutes in a game
- very good defender
- will work hard all day long
- strong runner (not impact type, but doesnt take a backwards step type)
- he seems like a good leader to me
Thackray:
- poor defender
- lacks impact nowadays
- dont get too much game time out of him, which would be O.K if he still had impact but he doesnt
- inconsistant with the effort he puts in
The only thing Thackray has over Cusack imo is pace
