| I am already doing a boycott one forced on me I might add.
The club is now in decline and has been for several years we have accepted mediocrity for so long now. The old excuses will be trotted out, injuries, Crocker being banned, bad decisions, unfit players etc etc. Sure we have seen worse squads then this lot, this difference now is that there is no excuse for buying cheap. There is no reason why Hull FC have not got a better squad then we have, we have no money problems, the gates, clothing sales, corporate and other cash flows have been either constant or rising in the last nine years. The club have mananged to distance themsleves from the fans in many ways, the players are so distant they may as well be be hired in from Australia every year. I see players on the pitch going through the motions, they are not motivated and as for 5 drives and a bad kick................ sick of it. The squad of 99 where bad , but they tried and through there efforts helped the long term future of the club, I could not fault there efforts. Mystery injuries and talk of splits are coming out, true or not there is clearly something wrong with them.
The chickens are coming home to roost, the club faces a major challenge in attracting pass holders to re-new for next season. For the first time they are not going to get away with the token "BIG NAME SIGNING", this time they can fool no one but the really stupid. Following a sports team is big business and like all business they have to look after there core, FC have been IMHO abusing our blind faith for years. They face the prospect of losing maybe 50% of the pass sales next season due to the recession and poor form ( entertainment value =0 ).
The club has slipped in player capabilty since Kear was sacked. He was sacked not for performances on the pitch, but for behind the scenes bust ups and the fact he was not paid thye going rate for the job he took on. He was replaced in haste with Peter Sharp, a second best choice and he too was sacrificed to placate the fans and corporates.
Agar has been on borrowed time since Jon Sharp arrived and he will go at some point, its not if but when. I doubt this move will halt the slide the club is in unless some one acts swiftly it will be many years before we can climb back up. I am not calling for the board to go, boycotts or anything else that would damage the club, but I believe that present regime will cut and run if they think that the cash is about to dry up. They know they can get some decent cash for the club and if they delay for long the price will start dropping.
The next few months could be vital for the long term future of Hull FC and I still think we need to get an organised pressure group in place as a matter of urgency.

what a good post Ian, agree with everthing you said
its time for the board to either put the club up at the right price, or made a the right investement in recruitment because slowly but surely they are losing the fans and once people decide to go its very hard to entince them back
